Polyphasic Sleep

Anyone have experience with this? I'm thinking of getting into it but I'm afraid it'll cut into my gains

Whatever you do get 6 minimum total hours of sleep and make sure you take a day to catch up if you need it.

Less is for people on the literal battlefield that aren't dicking around using extra energy in the gym or at work. Even the Onasis guy wouldn't cut it down as low as 4 hours because being that low energy would inhibit his success.

i was doing this for two years or so, because i worked at night and went to uni at day. 6h + 1.5h worked perfectly. just 6h at night made me chronically fatigued after a couple months. 4.5h + 2x1.5h worked in the beginning but after a couple weeks it went downhill fast, i started skipping the 1.5h naps too often and it wrecked me in the end. you'll have to learn how to fall asleep within 10-15 minutes whenever needed if you want to try this.VB2JY0

Tried it, like it works for a time but eventually you feel the lack in volume. Now I just stick with the 6h + 1.5h "lunch break"

schizo meme that people who have fricked up their sleep schedule (like me by the way) use to cope.

      >you'll have to learn how to fall asleep within 10-15 minutes whenever needed
aka develop chronic fatigue. if you can always fall asleep quickly that's because you're always tired. it's not healthy to be in the mood for a little sleep all throughout the day.

It doesn't really work, your circadian rhythm is based on light cycles and you can't just manipulate it for several 20 minute intervals throughout the day, plus the sum total hours in pic are atrociously low

Nah but I’ve been sleeping 3 hours less each night, haven’t done the math but I think that’s like an extra month in the year for me to succeed.

Did this for the better part of a year. I don't think it was worth it. I would work from 8am-2pm come home and nap from 3pm-9pm, then fall asleep around 3am. There was frick all to do between 9pm-3am, everyone was asleep, most places that weren't fast food were closed. I would just watch shows, play Vidya, fap, and eat.

I work 9am-1pm now, go to the gym for 2hours, then lay down for bed around 11pm. It's much nicer than being a night ghoul.

biphasic sleep is based. it lines up with the circadian rhythm, has developed organically among multiple populations, and has research to support it
    polyphasic is a meme

i can sleep for 5-6 hours a day for about 3-4 maybe 5 days(the work week) and then after that i get the rest of the week to sleep like a log.

one thing that i noticed is that I have chronic fatigue symptoms, I feel like shit, my hair started falling, my joints ache and I am bloated.

I am not built for wage cucking it seems. in any case I wouldnt buy this snake oil sleeping methods.

So long as I consistently miss 7.5 hours of sleep at least/night I will feel like shit. On the flip side I feel more motivated when I am sleep deprived, but that is fueled by pure frustration of being unable to sleep

Biphasic sleep was literally the norm throughout Europe and beyond until 19th century. After electricity was common, the hours of sunlight weren't rly relevant to sleep cycles from 9pm - 5am with 1am wakeup to work read pray and do chores.

    >feudal biphasic sleep
    >1st sleep
    wakeup
    >2nd sleep
wakeup for 1-1.5 hrs (work, read, pray, seggs and baby making) and then return to sleep.^
