I love these threads because it shows the reality of the gays who scream “HOMEGYM MASTER RACE” in every single thread, even when it’s not relevant. I laugh knowing all these gays have a sad setup consisting of just one or two pieces of basic equipment in their garage an empty room in their house

you can do belt squats using a dip belt, barbell and landmine row attachment

        Anonymous

        I don't have a power rack though

Usually I just stack up some rubber mats and plates to stand on, then do them with KBs hanging from the dip belt

        Anonymous

You don't even need a landmine row attachment, get a tennis ball, cut an X into one side, put it on the end of a barbell, and shove it in a corner.

It's great. At some point I might try to find some sort of TV or monitor that does well with humidity. Doing interval training I usually just listen to music but when I'm doing longer sessions I like to watch educational stuff on my phone. It would be nice to not have to crane my neck.

          Anonymous

You could just get a tablet and a desk mounting system with an arm/c clamp to attach to the railing. Probably would be a lot cheaper than a TV.

            Anonymous

That's a good thought too. I normally just place my phone down in the center and it's serviceable considering I'm mostly just listening to stuff. Next thing I want to do is get some cheap mirrors to put on the walls in my garage for lifting.

The Tonal? Bruh, this thing slaps. I’m lifting 15k lbs per day, and the AI powered eccentric mode means it is intelligently raising/lowering the weight to put me under maximum tension. It’s actually sick, much better than regular weights.

Only complaint is that you obviously can’t go as heavy, so I have a heavy day once a week at a garage gym.

That's the gayest shit I've ever read and I've read gay Armenian erotica novellas.

On a different note, not sure how you guys lift in these indoor nice spaces. I had to dump 375 lbs on the bench yesterday when I couldn't hit my third rep. Glad I have an old shitty garage with rubber mat flooring.

            Anonymous

No offense but I've literally never met someone with a legitimate complaint about the Tonal. It's always that it's "too expensive" which is not a critique of the tool itself. Of course a super advanced fitness product is expensive, you get what you pay for.

Everybody hates my Tesla Model S too until they get in and experience the ride, lol

You don’t need to lift that heavy for optimal fitness. Do you think Brad Pitt in fight club was squatting that amount of weight?

The Tonal let’s me target aesthetics with high rep low weight workouts that maximize time under tension. It’s literally AI optimized fitness. It makes regular weights feel like working out in the Stone Age.

            >"Tonal can deliver 200 pounds of resistance"
That is not too bad. That works for arm work, shoulder work, some chest and back work, and some legs as well although not for long. If the resistance is resistance then it should be good. If the resistance is bad like rubber bands or some shit its fricking useless

I hate the overhead bulbs, the lighting is awkward. Brought the two side lamps to even out the light. I can turn the overhead lights down to a nice orange so it's nice and comfy mood lighting when not using the gym.

        i dont like it

It's definitely cramped. I'd like to move the pool table but that's an entire process I don't have the time for money for.

The lighting is comfy and I have a really decent speaker off to the side. I wish I could move the pool table, get more room, but it works pretty well. I'm 1 year into my fitness journey but I'm loving it 🙂
