to answer op, I like both

I don't know if either is better than the other. I just eat either/or in order to vary my diet a bit. Also depends on the rice, brown rice is like all fibre whereas white rice is more of a starchy carb.
Idk just don't over think it, eat your protein target and whatever gets you to your calorie target.

Probably potatoes but only if you eat the skin. But is right, it doesn't matter, eat both

      Rice for convenience
      simple as

      >rice: boil for 15mins
      >potatoes: boil for 25 mins
      Hardly that big a deal

Rice is pellet-food for subhumans and non-humans. Potatoes are at least nutritious.

    >rice
Shit grain. Basically devoid of nutrients. Only upside is that it's easy to digest.
    >potatoes
Best vegetable. So nutrient dense you can nearly live on it. Also easy to digest so it negates rice.

Growing up my grandmother would cook food from the old country and it would be both.

I used to mash the potato with a fork and mix it with the rice.

That's Midwestern cuisine in the US. Terrible shit. Once had a midwestern gf that made "dinner" composing of potatoes, rice, and pasta. She finished off the combo with some jalapeno juice in the pot which created a noxious gas and forced everyone to evacuate the building. To this day, it was the worst thing I've ever put in my mouth (including ants).

My grandmother is Peruvian so the rice and potatoes were tasty. No fried/baked potatoes, only boiled. Always accompanied by chicken or beef.

Also wtf, your ex must've been from Ohio or Minnesota. My gf is from Michigan and the only weird food her family has made was a burger with cheese inside of it.

Russia will not nuke anyone unless Xi gives them permission. And he won't, because Westerners are much more valuable to China than a bunch of poor subhuman Ryssiäns.

Potatoes are objectively superior because they have micronutrients and rice does not.

Rice + beans, peas or lentils for free real estate brotein. It's the perfect match because they complement each other's missing aminoacids giving you high quality protein and low glycemic index carbs.

It depends what you want from it. Potato is better in terms of nutrients and keeps you satiated longer if that is your goal but if you want easy to eat calories that are also easily digestible then rice is the better choice.

    Potatos for me
When I eat white or brown rice now I feel my blood sugar levels rise and then crash afterwards making me sleepy depending on the situation regardless of foods consumed with it. Potato’s despite having a higher gi index doesn’t do that to me. I wonder if my body is unhealthy and I have bad insulin sensitivity

Potatoes but I am growing tired of them. They're nice for bbq season when I can bake them with most of my meals but it's a chore during the winter.

potatoes if I'm making soup or something and it's easy enough to just throw in 200-400 g of some yellow potatoes. Rice if I'm not in the mood for wet food.
