I've never liked powder pre-workout, always makes me feel strange, and doesn't give that much energy. But just one shot of whiskey with water helps me a surprising amount.

I do half a banana and a tablespoon of peanut butter 30 minutes before my workout.
Then after the workout, I use the other half of the banana by blending it with 6 raw eggs and a tablespoon of honey.
For more fats, I'll occasionally have coffee with butter, MCT oil, and half/half.
