Processed Foods

I feel like warnings against processed food is lazy, or a misdirect. What, specifically, are we avoiding? HFCS? then say avoid HFCS. Too much salt? Then say that. "Processed foods" isn't specific enough. For millions of people, that is just what is available. People can't afford or don't have time for whole food meals, so warning people against processed foods a) will fall on deaf or helpless ears, and b) doesn't inform the public enough on what is doing the harm.

Sometimes I think "processed foods" is a term made by the government as a compromise between company's profits and people's health. Just enough to convince people that they're "concerned".

I don't know if it's intentional, but the effect on fat fricks is definitely that they feel better after ragging on processed foods even if they aren't doing anything to avoid them.

war was never the spontaneous occurrence it has been advertised as but rather planned culls of low class men
with the invention of the nuke war is off the table so now they government culls the genetic riffraff by convincing them to kill themselves before they breed via unhealthy lifestyles (smoking, drinking, junk food, screen addiction, chemical castration)

OP; processed foods is useful as a label precisely because it isn't specific. people are too poorly educated to understand and apply nutrition; they could follow 'eat low fat', but then they just overate anyway, they could follow 'stop eating sugar' but they just ate other carbs. 'avoid processed food' is simple enough that idiots can understand it.

It's literally just calories combined with a sedentary life. The people who over-consume past their daily need eat the most processed food.
In theory people would be fine if they only ate a normal amount of calories of utra-processed food, but it's apparently not very satiating and easy to eat a lot of.
More so though the people who binge it are fricking idiots. Why would you trust your feelings that you can still eat more if you're a fat blob? Running on that belief they grow into bodies that are barely recognizable as humans yet they still think they can trust their feelings of how much to eat, why? Stupidity is why.
So reframing the issue, how do we lower the calorie counts of morons? We could replace corn syrup with calorie-free sugar substitutes (like what coke zero is to coke). That's the only answer.
Right now it's costing society EVERYTHING having to deal with the health concerns caused by high calories. The cost for food producers to change how their ingredients are sourced is nothing compared to everything, so this is more than reasonable.

No. If thatw as the case, the French would be HUGE. But they aren't. In any case, caloric intake doesn't correlate with obesity % at all.

Ireland is #1 in caloric intajke, yet only #69 (lol) in obesity. Just as an example, look it up, there is NO correlation anywhere.

CICO is le fake, but you specifically eat a lot of calories and are fat, right? Funny how that works.
Even if CICO was incomplete it wouldn't matter in this context because the diets we're addressing are already fixed in other values like carbs and protein. If you lower the energy intake but keep the other values the same weight would have to be lost no matter what else is going on, you moron.

No, I'm normal BMI and normal bf%. I am also massively hypothyroid and manage this via some extremely voodoo-sounding diet I got from renaissance books and trad chinese medicine.

          >So are the Italians and Austrians
          >Oh wait, all of them are well known for not doing any sports at all!
Yeah, you're coping. As I said, there is NO correlation. Go ahread and compare with average gym time (if there even are gyms, Italy, I am looking at you) and daily steps taken, there is such data for most countries on the list,

Hint: It doesn't add up anyway. If you disagree, prove it. And if you can probve it, congrats, you just disproved the modern "exercise won't help fat loss" dogma. I'll take it.

Yes some diets are better than others but that is due to efficiency of calories to required nutrients
You could be a good goy and eat nothing but vitamin supplements and processed goyslop
You would have a painful time of it but you would live a long time without getting fat if you only ate 2000cal of sugared slop

If you are fat there is a hump to where this becomes tolerable

        Anonymous

What the hell does that mean? It should be ridiculously tolerable if you're fat considering all the extra energy stored on your body. If you can't go a day (sunup to sundown) without food, you are just addicted and going through withdrawals, you're not in need of actual nutrients.

          You ask what I mean
          You say what I mean

Fat people feel hungry more often and have less willpower to not eat, they have no experience with pushing till you stop feeling hungry and call it "starvation mode"

Its a skill that they think means they are dying, so they never practice it

    Possessed oils with no nutrients?
    Check
    Simple sugars with no nutrients?
    Check
Huge amounts of salt and low moisture?

The problem is that this shit is loaded up with the worst quality ingredients, additives, and artificial flavors, pumped full of empty calories, then eaten by people who work sedentary wagie jobs.

If you work out hard, you can eat this shit and be mostly fine, but its an uphill battle, for people who don't hit the gym a ton its gas on the fire for mental and physical degradation

Processed foods is easier to say than "not whole foods", since whole foods are singular ingredients and don't have additives (in order to be considered a whole food)
Any number of horrors both natural and artificial can be added to processed foods. There really isn't just one thing to worry about in that pile.
