    Timeframe, routine?

      Anonymous

Timeframe is 2.5 years, first pic is when I was at my lowest living off of goyslop. Started with a full body 3 day routine and switched to my own routine after a year or so. Current routine is
      >Day 1.
      Db pullovers 3x10
      Bb rows 3x8
      Bench 4x6
      Db flyes 3x10
      Db press 3x10
      Cb Curls 3x6
      Cb wrist curls 3x15
      >Day 2.
      Squat 3x6
      Calf raises 3x25
      Front squats 3x8
      Ohp 3x6
      Lat raises 3x10
      Bb shrugs 3x15
      >Day 3.
Cb Curls 4x8 (lower weight higher reps)
      Db front raises 4x16
      Seated triceps extensions 4x10
      Cb wrist curls 4x15
      >Day 4.
      Rest
      >Day 5.
      Same as day 1
      >Day 6.
      Rest
      >Day 7.
      Same as day 2
      >Day 8.
      Rest
      And then repeat.

natty? routine? bulk / cut cycles? strenght level?

      >natty?
Yes, I place great value in my testicular fortitude
      >bulk / cut cycles?
I quit goyslop cold turkey when I started and that was enough to cut and get rid of the gut. Then I slightly bulked up again on milk and dairy after I gained some muscle. Currently maintaing
      >strenght level?
      A little bit above 1/2/3 for 6-8 reps, I don't deadlift

What's your height and weight anon? Mirin physique.

Cute, I wish I would be able to have a husband and a wife at the same time, having a husband seems so comfy but I find women to be hotter.

This is the reason why I'd seriously consider honosexuality if I didn't like pussy so much: most women are an unnecessary burden, they almost always try to prevent you from greatness. I really hate whenever my gf pulls some stupid shit like "Why don't you stay in bed instead of going to the gym early in the morning?" or "Have a beer! One cannot hurt your cut, right?". Women are to the soul what a boulder is to a hot-air balloon.

I could be a top to a small twink dude but the hard part would be my family finding out eventually. I used to be kind of a homosexual though I doubt they'd be surprised.

I think I made you uncomfy. I hope you're feeling less angry and sad this morning. Hetero norms don't fit everyone, dont beat yourself up about it. You can be a bit fem if you want, son.

I could be a top to a small twink dude but the hard part would be my family finding out eventually. I used to be kind of a homosexual though I doubt they'd be surprised.

What is it about your family finding out that makes you worry? Don't hold yourself back because your boomer parents clutch pearls about what the neighbours will think about your hot twink husband. If you're some straight married bro type who hangs out on IST because you low key like seeing dudes, I can see that being shitty and complicated :/

12 years between pics (not to be confused with 12 years of lifting)

in a sence ive made tremendous progress, in a much more real sense, im still not strong and still unhappy with my appearance.

My best friend killed himself a few weeks ago. And I'm struggling with just doing the basics.

More fantastic progress. I'm sorry for your loss anon.

I'm scared because I live in a tight knit place where lots of people wouldn't expect it from me. I know not to worry about what other people think but I'm scared of like my cousins and coworkers finding out mostly. I'm not here to look at dudes though I'm here because I lift and I'm only really into smaller feminine twinkish dudes as far as men go they are here but not as common as other gymbros.

        >gutsanon was skinny-fat
i-is it true? can we skinny-fats make it?

One thing I hate about being skinnyfat is that IDK if I should bulk or cut. It keeps fricking with me one day ill not eat shit (less than 800 cals) and then other days eat like a fricking pig. I HATE IT. I can see a little less fat on me, (SW:156-57 CW:147-148) and some strength gains, but very little muscle and I know it's cause of my diet.

I dont know anymore. Maybe I should do a few 36hr fasts to cut down on more fat and then bulk. I'm just scared of getting fat again.

          Anonymous

If you're skinnyfat and not obese then just eat at a slight surplus. You want to take advantage of your noob gains and starting on a cut isn't efficient. Have a plan and literally eat the same shit every single day.

          Also you're my favorite, Gutsbro.

First pic is from 2 years ago at my leanest, second is from my first "bulk" from December 2020 and last one is from June.

Damn I'm same height but 10 kilos lighter. You're really giving me a point to aim at. You think your genetics are above average/average/worse than average?

Glad to hear friend. I have no idea about my genetics, never bothered me. I went through the trouble of finding my old pics because one of the comments I used to get was "shit chest genetics" or something similiar yet now my chest is one of my strong points. The genetics discussion seeped in from professional (roiding) bodybuilding, you'll be far better off focusing on your training and completely disregarding any genetics discussion.

Wish I had a real before pic at 105kg. Turns out getting into sports as a way to compensate for a food addiction isn't a good way to make progress ever. Who would have thought ? Still would do it all again just for the cardio gains.

favorite physique ITT, not to undermine your progress but you look great at every stage and weight

            16y 465 > 19 210

I probably gained like 10 pounds over last few days because I literally almost died at the end of the last diet, and I lost roughly 15 pounds in a month in June, So I figured frick it and (binge ate and didn't really care) but I'm back on the diet and going to 180.

I know I'm not a giga bro but I'm getting there, mind the saggy nips and loose skin.

I will throw my hat in the ring, fellas. We all have different goals and different abilities. We can choose to continue as losers or rise above and push through it. I want all of my skinny fat brothers to make it.

Keep lifting hard and eating less fatties

I feel dirty sharing one I’ve shared before but rn I’m on week 5 out of 6 of a diet break before I can get back to cutting. Hope to have a third part to this series of pics of me once I’m absolutely shredded.

The diet break has been pretty successful though, have maintained 168-169ish the past 5 weeks fairly easily, even with some days slipping up and going way overboard on calories. Hope to get down to 150 once I start the diet back up and hopefully I don’t need to dip into the 140s but we’ll see.

Good job brother, keep on lifting and it's only ever gonna get better.

        Anonymous

0.8g-1g protein per pound body weight. Adjust calories until you get weight loss at a reasonable rate.

All exercises pushed to failure. Started with greyskull LP, then did upper lower, now I’m doing Upper/Lower/off/push/pull/legs.

I really think training to failure on every exercise, every set, is hugely under rated.

Blessed thread, thank you op, I will eat extra protein tonight and lift hard

      Looking legendary bro

Thank you friends, there are a lot of great stories ITT

      >it's another gutsanon post
      >he's the same height as me
      >he was the same weight as I am now, with no muscle

I hate fanboys but you are my biggest inspiration. I wanna get big like you, brah. Here's to losing this fat so I can revel in a bulk.

As chiche as it may sound, the reason I make these posts is for the "if I can do it then so can you" argument. If a skinnyfat dyel with no prior sport experience growing up on anime and vidya can make progress then so can everybody else. But my history with lifting has been very unorthodox and full of injuries at first so in this case I was even at a disantvantage compared to other first time lifters. If I can inspire even one anon then that's more than enough for me. Good luck ahead brother, here's to hoping in two years you'll be the one inspiring others.

How do I get as beautifully tan as you? I've cut out seed oils which I'm told makes people burn rather than tan. Any routine or just going outside shirtless?

Thank you, I progressively overload my sun exposure before swimming. At first I would stand under the sun for 20 minutes, then that gradually increased to 90 minutes, though I usually jump in the sea way before that. I don't use sunscreen and I have not had a burn in years. I have a theory that a weightlifter's lifestyle actually helps with tanning and staying burn free. If you want to try, see what your body can handle then increase yoir exposure little by little. Also I eat a lot of carrots and apricots which supposedly help with tanning but I eat them cause I like them a lot

I suck at greentexts so I'll just do it the normal way. I started lifting when the lockdowns began back in March 2020. Obviously gyms were closes so I borrowed two adjustable dumbbells that went up to 15kg (30lbs) and started lifting at home. My first day I got so sore lifting I couldn't even extend my arms for a week but I kept on going the moment my arms were back to normal. I used to do all kinds of shit to compensate for my lack of pl8s or barbell, I even used broomsticks as a makeshift barbells. Eventually I got my own bar, and used the pl8s from the dumbbells. I used to snap my back muscles frequently because of my winged scapula, once I snapped em so hard I could barely move for a week, couldn't even put on a shirt on my own. But again, the only thing I could think of was recovering and lifting again. Finally I got my own pl8s in December 2020, and could finally truly progress for the first time. It was a game changer but I still didn't have a bench or stands, so I floor pressed from the edge of my bed and cleaned the bar for OHP, squats and front squats. This went on for another six months, and then I finally commisioned a metal worker to make me a bench and stands (gym equipment was still ridiculously expensive due to covid) in June 2021. Now I had both the equipment and the weights necessary, and it's been smooth sailing since then apart from some minor injuries. Looking back, my first year was severely hindered by baby weights and no equipment, but with proper patience I found out that it didn't really matter in the end. That's why I tell noobies to not obsess over ideal conditions, minmaxxing routines and maximising their potential. Perseverance is the true king.

I'm getting that shit cut off don't worry frick that. One major reason I wanted to lose weight was to give major orgasms to chicks and loose skin won't help.

I literally can't tell how fat I still am too. Any help on that would be nice.

          >I'm getting that shit cut off don't worry frick that.
Yeah well let's hope the surgeries get better in the future.
          >Any help on that would be nice.
I've never been morbidly obese but I use a VeSync scale (you can buy them for like $30 on Amazon). It basically a scale you hookup to an app and it tells you a bunch of shit other than weight like body fat %, subcutaneous vs visceral fat, body water %, muscle mass, bone mass, etc etc. It's not a perfect science and some people question the accuracy but i've gotten my measurements professionally done and it's close enough tbh. It's a much much funner way to track progress than just weight alone so it'll help keep you motivated.

Buy it, it'll be a good investment.

This is the one I have:
          https://www.amazon.com/Etekcity-Bathroom-Weighing-Bluetooth-Electronic/dp/B095YJW56C/ref=sr_1_6?k=vesync+scale&crid=1Q04MPFSH9BP7&sprefix=vesync+scal%2Caps%2C138&ref=nb_sb_noss_2&crid=1Q04MPFSH9BP7&keywords=vesync+scale&qid=1657848671&sprefix=vesync+scal%2Caps%2C138&sr=8-6

Thanks, I have one of those scales at my gym, but the last time I did it it said i was 18% BF so yeah. I have always wanted one of those too.

I don't even know where to start looking, but I expect to do it by Jan-March next year so I can be recovered by my birthday. I know price will be roughly 30k so holy frick, but whatever I guess getting mad at it is useless.

              Anonymous

              >getting mad at it is useless
              true

I personally wouldn't get the surgery until you're at the very lowest bf% you can possibly be at. Otherwise you're just going to lose more weight and it'll mess up the 'tightness'.

                Anonymous

I don't have any set skinny point since I've been obese since I came out of the womb. So I don't know how much weight I should realistically aim for. I never planned on being under 170, so I felt 180 was a fine point, which is what I'm aiming for before end of year.

                Anonymous

Normally at 5'8'' 150-160lbs is perfect for somebody who lifts, so considering your loose skin 180 is probably good.

                Good luck.

          Anonymous

Go to a fricking doctor and get your bf percentage. And maybe get a proper diet: cutting to the point of "almost dying" and then binge eat is a clear sign you are doing something wrong. Don't be dumb, you'll frick up your health.

            Anonymous

Yeah I should do BF % at a DR
The Cutting till almost dead thing had nothing to do with starving or improper diet in the sense of eating like a moron. Well... I guess I did eat like a moron, because the reason I was almost dying was <30g of fat for like 6 months.

Congrats! on your new healthier body. Ill bet you feel so much better. Make sure that you have changed your lifestyle, thats the most difficult is that you cant go back. Stay positive and great things will come

Thanks, I suppose I notice a healthier me physically and cardiovascularly, but I honestly have been so focused on the progress I don't feel mentally better at all, probably worse, but it's in the sense of "not good enough" versus "kys now". Honestly I don't think I can ever get MASSIVE again, Once I hit 180 I would kick shit back into gear if god forbid I hit 200 again. But I researched about training and nutrition so autisticly that I literally can't gain unless I'm being fat and lazy (like I have been in the last few days). On that note starting like 2 days ago I added a 15 mile bikeride to my day (I used to not be able to do 5 minutes on stationary), not only does it not allow me to eat, but I get to eat like 400-800 more calories a day(if someone could help me estimate) not including my 10k steps. So my final cut cycle to 180 should honestly be the easiest, it just becomes a matter of doing it now, I'm very sick of cutting cause it's been 26 months. So while this break is negatively effecting me pound wise, I think it is a great break mentally. I'm over just about everything I've overindulged on these last few days and am truly honestly ready to get back on track. Just a matter of doing this shit now. Possibly will post 180 results

I WILL HOWEVER POST LOOSE SKIN SURGERY RESULTS FOR ANY OBESE ANONS WANTING TO SEE FOR THEMSELVES. I WON'T AUTISTICALLY JOURNAL BUT YEAH

              Anonymous

I forgot to mention that I am not actually sick of what I eat at all. It was a matter of being hungry as frick, and I didn't eat highly palatable foods for like 8 months straight cause I got super autistic. So I'm back to my diet plan and then I'll intentionally add treats (like a donut once every sunday or some stupid shit) over the course of the diet so I never binge again.

        Anonymous

I have pretty bad body dysmorphia to the point I imagine having loose skin when I don't. I feel bad for anyone who actually does have it that surgery doesn't look like it would have a fun recovery to get rid of it so if I did actually have that issue I'd just deal with it.

I hit 465 in 16 years, I have no problem being a bloatlord. I just went out and got a dozen donuts like 8 days over the course of 14. On top of ice cream, burritos, chicken strips, and mozzerlla sticks. I don't actually know how much I gained, but counting the calories it was roughly 25k +?

On top of that I eat in a 1k minimum deficit, and don't count any activity including cardio, so on top of working outside I went from 215 to 201.4 in like 15 days.

          Anonymous

          >counting the calories it was roughly 25k +
Holy shit my guy, that's impressive. I get a giant stomach ache when I go over a few hundred calories. Your stomach must be stretched to the size of a garbage bag. Go talk to a psychologist. Even if you lose the weight, it'll come back later on unless you tackle your binge eating disorder.

            Anonymous

I don't particularly have a problem where I can't stop myself, I just never did. I'm perma fricked though on my fullness meter. It takes roughly 3 pounds of watermelon to be like "full" not satisfied not stuffed. I started off intermittent fasting and I noticed pretty good returns on not eating so much in one sitting. I converted to high volume eating because I was so fricking hungry at the end of my diet though. So when I lose my weight I may switch to IF for a few just to get a grip back on my fullness.

Yeah I probably need a psychologist or therapist or some shit for vast reasons. But I have converted to mainly whole foods and the anabolic diet. This was the first "binge session" I have ever done... Aside from when I was morbidly obese eating 5k cals in 1 dominos order.

Damn, I have had no experiences with gas problems so I can't really help, I can only share that in my experience dairy keeps me full and satiated so our digestive system probably works differently. Kefir is the shit tho, definitely make it a thing before bed. I drink some with cheese and some raw garlic and I sleep like a baby

Looking pretty good much better than the before. Don't know why everyone is being so harsh. That said, this sort of transformation is to be expected when you do strength training instead of bodybuilding

Question as this feels optimal to ask...

If I bodybuilt to say.. 25? (5 years)
Suppose I switched and did strength from 25-30
Would I lose all or any of my bodybuilding gains?

Periodisation like you described is a great way to train but it's usually done over periods of weeks and months not years. I don't know of anyone doing what you described.

I've always been interested in this idea. But I do know about weekly/monthly Periodisation . I probably will just have to end up doing that instead. Only issue I have would be bulking for say strength then having to cut before starting a hypertrophy split. Wouldn't it work like that?

frick copium you guys are giving us hope, bonus for doing so while we’re at the very lowest point in /fit thread quality history

      Best thread in months.

I wouldn't go that far lads but I'm happy to see that hope can still be ignited

Thank you lads. I finally lost enough weight to do a couple strict form pull ups when I couldn't even hang on the bar properly. Remember, if I can do it so can you

jan-june last year , its so hard to put on healthy weight but i run a majority of the time. Use to do like 1 hour at 8 mile speed 3-4 times a week. tbh weightlifting is so tiresome, I heard more reps and less weight is the way to go. just need to get back into it though

ust obsessive ab workouts and benching/rows/pull ups/diamond push ups sometimes throw in boxing/jump roping and swimming
