You ever did pullups with your elbows tucked to your waist each rep? The pump is crazy especially in the lower section of the lats.
I haven't but that sounds like something I'd be bad at, I will try it though just to feel if there's a difference, my back doesn't look that abnormal from behind it just pops real weird from the front.

very hungry skeleton reporting in, 5'11 27 y/o. work part time in construction so this fitness journey has been more than just bodybuilding for me, and a hard journey at that. pretty sure ive gotten all of my noob gains and will be nearing my genetic limit in a few years time, i just dont have the best genes for building and keeping mass.

here's a tip I seldom see people mention, you can train ambidexterity to an extend, if you're able to use both of your hands you'll avoid most repetitive movement injuries by switching them up, I do this for shoveling dirt and such.

thats crazy you mention it because over the past few years ive started framing with my left hand, drilling as well. pretty clumsy at first but id say im about 70% as accurate with my left hand as my right now. ill take that into account when doing more strenuous stuff like shoveling or swinging a sledgehammer. seems like thats where the injuries and muscle imbalances could get worse without some rectification
rotator cuff injuries are also super common, you can prevent these to an extend by developing your chest because it acts as a stabilizer/support, you can feel the muscle tense when you stretch your arms or raise them above your head because of that.
my chest is very underdeveloped compared to my back, i just thought being all hunched over and arms pointing inward was from lifting. good to know that now. been feeling some popping in my front delts from some movements i normally wouldnt and im guessing thats from my arms being pushed in the wrong direction and wearing out my shoulder joint

I also had issues developing my chest until I switched to heavier barbell training, I do presses off the floor because benching heavy isn't good for your rotator cuffs either, or your shoulder health, but on the floor they're supported so it negates that to an extend.
spent a shit ton of time doing bent over rows with both dbells and barbell, lately ive been focusing on pull ups and i can barely do more than 12 per set so i guess ive neglected that ROM. i press on my bed since i dont have a rack, its fairly good at giving a little suppination of the arms while still having support.
started doing sit ups and crunches with a plate on my chest recently to try and actually strengthen it with progressive overload, wasnt seeing any progress with bodyweight and probably wouldnt have if i kept doing b/w core
