Pull Up Bar

Bought into the "a cheap pull up bar is all you need" meme and the foam part has started to break and its leaving scuff marks on the door frame.

Is this because the one I got is shitty or is scuff marks normal? And what pull up bars/price range would you guys recommend?

I bought mine for $10 dollars

Ape Out, Gorilla Mindset Shirt $21.68

Rise, Grind, Banana Find Shirt $21.68

They are pretty cheap anon, how old is yours? Not so bad to replace a $20 bar every few years (my first one lasted 2 years and was starting to deteriorate and I went from unfit to 5 one handed chins during that time)

This but also - use the cheapest paper masking tape you can find (the cheaper ones have less glue and won't cause damage taking it off)

You can get one's that screw into the door frame which are much more stable and about the same price.

I mean, not really. A pull-bar and somewhere to do dips is enough for a while. After that, you'll need something else to: a) create enough stimulus for your muscles to grow; b) not die of fricking boredom.
I sincerely recommend buying a pull-up bar and a kettlebell. That's enough to train for a year at least.

If you're worried about scuff marks just quit being a b***h and do the pull-ups directly on the door frame with your fingertip. Will train your forearms and strengthen your fingers.

I bought this for pull-ups and dips, since I have the room and I'm not a manlet.
Remember once trying that door frame shit and I could reach the bar from the floor while on my knees.
