        Twice a week is nothing for calves. You gotta do them like 3 times a week, high volume, pause and squeeze at the top and pause and stretch at the bottom, but don’t go too far down, just enough to feel a stretch. Do 3-6 sets of standing raises and 3-6 sets of seated raises per workout. Start off at 3 sets each exercise and only add a set if you stall.

          Get one of these bad boys. Do 3x25 neck curls for the back of your neck one day and then do chin tucks with it the other day. Don't bother working the sides of your neck the chin tucks handle that.

      They're what I like to call the "hardwoking muscles". Maybe not the neck, but the forearms/calves. Forearms are built from gripping heavy shit, calves are built from walking around carrying heavy shit in front of your body (hence why fatties have big calves). If you grow up doing hard work then those muscles take care of themselves, but some of the best exercises for calves are keg carries and shit like that. That's another reason why big calves are common in strongman competitors. As for the neck? No one trains it cause they don't know how/see the benefit of it.

      Most bodybuilders are one dimensional in their training and only know sets and reps of things like calve raises and shit, but those muscles grow best from prolonged time under tension.

        He’s doing more volume to drive growth. Isometric hanging is less effective than doing curls, but because it’s on there for 10 whole minutes, he’s getting enough volume to more than make up for it.
