QTDDTOT

I have iritis. It's an autoimmune inflammation of the iris. As far as the doctor can tell, it's just an idiopathic thing that'll go away with some steroids. A question I didn't think to ask was should I even lift with this? Intracranial pressure hurts and I generally feel like "pain = damage or at least bad things in general." Apparently there's a shitton of white blood cells between my iris and my cornea, so I'm effectively blind in one eye, making me not want to do oly's because I might get off balance or something, but what about everything else?

I was doing standing military press and i think I fricked up a little. When i do the motion now my right arm, i think in my shoulder, starts making a creaking or grinding noise.
Yesterday my arm muscles also kind of felt off doing it but now the feeling's lessened.
Did i tear a muscle or something?
Can I still do stuff like bench press arm workouts until it heals?

Lower the weights by 20% for a few weeks and add in LIGHT rotator cuff work.
Doing a lot of pressing can cause shoulder impingement and rotator cuff problems in general.
Youll be fine in 4 weeks just dont cause further injury.

damn. thank you for the advice, ill skip weights for 2 weeks and do light dumbbells with cardio to not lose all the gains.

      No. Reevaluate your routine.
Where does it hurt in your elbow? Inner? Outer? You could just have a muscle imbalance. Do you do all your pulls a certain way? For instance if you're doing pullups instead of chinups, double overhand DL variations, overhand rows, etc.

How much heavy work are you doing? Do you do isolation?

i do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=act2Uc5V90U&t=273s but i have 3 sets of 10 each until 180 pounds. so 3x10 sets of 135 165 and then 180. the pain is in the inner right arm. no isolation.

oh yeah, i do traditional DL 3of 10 until 310 pounds. and my right arm is much stronger than my left.

          >t i have 3 sets of 10 each until 180 pounds. so 3x10 sets of 135 165 and then 180
That sounds fricking stupid. I don't even..what? Not taking time to figure this one out but you've got it backwards, START with your heaviest/most intense weight after a progressive low repetition warmup, don't burn yourself out doing easy weight you know you can do. Also sets of 10? No.
          bar x 5x2
          95 x5
          130x3
          155x2
          175x1
          actual workout --> 190x3x6-8
          backoff sets -->175x2x8

          >the pain is in the inner right arm. no isolation.
Do biceps curls, supinated grip (palms facing up), a few sets of 10-12, 3x per week. Be able to do like 15 or so though.
Do your best to ignore/fight through the pain but don't push too hard.

same tbh. after my last relationship, on-again off-again oneitis for 5 years, I didn't think I'd ever feel anything close again. But I do, and only 6 months later. Advice is to just immerse yourself in other things, you don't want to blow it because you got too invested too quickly and freak her out. Try to rein things in a little, the key to a healthy relationship is slow and steady increase in feelings. It's not a good sign when things go up to 100 right away, that's an indicator of a chaotic relationship that is likely to end up codependent or "toxic" in the long term. It'll also hurt way more if things end (which they're more likely to do early on) if you're already super invested. Just try to focus on your hobbies and other stuff as much as possible. YAGMI

I got one of these removable pullup bars you put on your doorway. I'm ESL so I'm unsure of the correct term, but you spin the central bar one way to tighten it and the other way to loosen it. Anyway, I do dead hangs every day so I just left it there permanently. I started checking if it's properly firm before using it, and to my surprise I can usually give it one spin to tighten it, even though I never do anything with a different grip that would make it loose. Is it normal for the bar to loosen by itself or am I fricking up my door frame?

What's the go-to place to get a solid, individualized stretching/mobility routine for a neglected slob? I'm putting one together from different sources, but I don't know what I'm doing. I need a comprehensive plan to test for and fix any issues with posture and mobility that will prepare me for lifting.

      Anonymous

      >issues with posture and mobility
Stretching won't fix posture, that would be strengthing/balancing muscles you've neglected. "Mobility" work/drills are meant to enhance an athlete's performance in technical/skill based stuff. You just need to get off your ass and lift. Learn the lifts by doing the lifts. Take it slow, but there isn't a "pre lifting" routine.

        Anonymous

Yes, what I'm looking for will include strength work to address imbalances and yes, I don't have to wait before I start lifting. But no, mobility issues won't just sort themselves out without being addressed and they will eventually frick with my lifting.

My farts, shits, armpits, and onions (which I eat all the time), and random things I get whiffs of throughout the day walking around all smell more or less the same, which is not what any of those things are supposed to smell like. It smells like deep fried bread, more or less. I think of greasy tortilla chips from a Mexican restaurant when I smell any of these things.
I had COVID in December, but this only started happening in the last month or two.

I don't want to have 14 inch arms anymore. I mainly train gymnastics skills. I'm happy with my back, chest, shoulders, forearms, and biceps progress but I'm lacking triceps. I tried adding push downs and bench press to my routine but I haven't grown at all in a year. I do muscle ups so I can't add dips without losing out on muscle up progress.
    What else can I do?

What's the best cardio for cutting, and how much of it should I do per week?

I want to run more but it's fricking summer and the temps are up to like 39°C (I don't know what that is in Muttspeak, sorry) and my ankles are actually fricked up from old injuries.

Is spinning or stationary biking an option? I refrain from doing it mostly because it's the gayest form of cardio I can think of next to the elliptical or getting gangbanged by BBC.

      Anonymous

      (39 °C × 9/5) + 32 = 102,2 °F

I'd say HIIT so you won't look gay since it seems to be important for you and you'll still grow muscle through it

Also, do it on a separate day or at the end of your workout, never before weight lifting
      But you already know that

Yeah man, I typically try to do cardio at the end of workouts but more often than not the gym closes before I have time to do cardio.

I don't care about how the exercise looks so much as it feels really uncomfortable to be stuck on a bike and using just my legs...when I run, I use my arms and core and everything--it just destroys my joints.

What kind of duration should I shoot for on cycling HIIT? On the treadmill, I usually just do 5 rounds of 2min jogging: 1 min max effort run and then jog for 5 minutes to cool down.

Do you have any good exercises to do at home to loose belly fat without any equipment except a yoga mat ?

I go to the gym in the morning but just do nothing the whole damn day (I'm in vacation) and it's hindering my weight loss and muscle gain.
It's why I'm looking for some exercises to do at home.

Also, I've been visibly loosing weight in my legs, arms and neck but not the belly, thus why the specific mention for that

Read the fricking sticky. Spotreduction is a myth aside from Fork-Putdowns 5x5.

how was peoples cardio recovery post covid? im days into it now, keen to get back to boxing.

I did not do any sports for 2 weeks after I got sick. Then it took me like a week to get back to speed.

I had a herniated disc about a year ago that I still haven't recovered from fully. If I do squats I feel like fricking murderer. Wat do

Don't do squats if it continues to hurt. Also try more to keep your back straight on all exercises

I was doing StrongLifts 5x5 and got a session with a PT because the weights were getting up there so I wanted to make sure my form was good before I hurt myself. He wrote me up on another routine that's less weight, more reps stating that it would do more for me early on. I didn't see anything like this in Starting Strength or Stronglifts, what's up with that? Am I weedier than the intended beginner audience?

Stronglifts and SS are for what they are named -> strong lifts. Most people though want to improve their aesthetic, for this SS and SL are not the besf programs. Aesthetics improve better when you also do more high rep exercises.

What veggies you guys regularly eat?
I'm looking for something to add to my chicken breasts. Already have simple breast recipe, but except for tomatoes I don't know what else to add.
Also, do you cook your veggies? I usually eat them raw.
      Frozen veggies vs market fresh?

I almost always stir fry or roast my veggies. Try stir frying carrots and onions with garlic, tastes amazing. Also I can greatly recommend making chicken curries.
Carrots, actual onions, bell pepper, leek, garlic, cucumber, sometimes lettuce, spinach, potatoes, sauerkraut, cauliflower, broccoli

terrible advice. the best way through a herniated disc is to continue to stretch and lift (not heavy). it needs to be exercised. not doing this will only make the problem worse.

I was in your boat man. Had one bad rep on a squat and I was out of commission for a month. Took me 4-5 months before I felt like I was back to 100%.

Not sure what you've done to recover yet but this video changed my life:

Doing these stretches 2x a day cured the worst of my pain in about a month. Then continued to do them until I was at the point where I could basically do my full workout again (just under much less load). I still do them now on back/leg days. I highly recommend this, as I felt completely lost and demoralized, as I'm sure you do now.

Just keep working through it. I started squatting again and what I learned most overall is every single rep matters. If I honestly don't think I can give 100% on the next rep, I rack. It's just not worth it. Godspeed, you'll be alright.

      >Day 1
      Lower body
      >Rest for1 or 2 days
      >Day 2
      Upper body in the morning
      Lower body at night
      >Day 3

      >Rest for 1-3 days

Not a fan of training 2xday since it interferes with recovery even if you're hitting different muscles, but try and see how it goes.

I can bench 120 5x5 but can't even deadlift 100 2x5 before I feel like I'm going to collapse. I don't have a squat rack so I have to squat lighter to be safe.

Is this normal? Do I need to condition my lower body at a faster pace? What's the best way without squats?

Probably some technique issue. You can try to clean the weight and front squat.

Will doing a lot of cardio heavily impact my gains? I really like doing cardio (running, cycling), problem is I'm also trying to bulk up. As long as I eat more the days I do cardio will I be okay? So let's say I do a bit of cardio and burn 500 calories. As long as I eat an additional 500 calories that same day will it 'cancel out'? Is there any other drawbacks to doing more cardio or is it just the weight/cardio issue?

Depends on your goal my dude we can't answer that for you. As some general guidelines if you are fat and weak then probably bulk for a bit, maybe 6 months or so or 1/2/3/4 whichever comes first, then cut for a similar length of time. If you're just weak then a slow bulk with mini-cuts is probably better. If you're just fat then cut cut cut.

Biceps are the simplest muscle of all to work - all exercise variations are just different types of curls. If you aren't growing something is wrong with either A your volume/frequency or B your diet. You probably aren't doing enough volume - how many times a week do you do 3x8? You should also look into RIR/RPE training. You may not be eating enough/enough protein - follow the standard advice.

What are some dumbbell exercises I can do to prepare for the barbell? I can’t even bench press the bar. I’d like to go back to it with at least 10lb plates on both ends. I also can’t squat to get my ass parallel to the floor; I fall over trying to.
Not that you need to know, but I have kind of a complex about this because my friend invited me to lift once and when I couldn’t lift the bar he laughed at me and never invited me back. I’ve since moved away and go to a zoomer gym cause small town. I just don’t want to end up on someone’s TikTok and hear about it every day

Plain old push ups, done with correct form, is a decent start anon. What's your height/weight? Are you really skinny? Fat? Just out of shape?
Anyway, like I said proper push ups are a very good exercise. Keep your body rigid and flat, keep your hands about shoulder width, keep your elbows either tucked in by your torso or else no more than a 45 degree angle. Don't let them flare out. Don't do half raps, go as low as you can and then push yourself all the way back up.
Think about back lunges for legs. Look up some sort of fundamental rowing movement for your back since I'm guessing you aren't ready for chin ups. Use a table, or a bar in a playground, or use light weights and do renegade rows.
As for your original question, any dumbbell version of a lift will theoretically have some carry over to barbell. But you need to actually use a little weight, doing a million 5lb dumbbell floor presses or whatever will only help you so much. What kind of weight do you have?

Fat. 6ft 220 last I measured; probably closer to 225 now after I let myself go on vacation last week. Thank you for the advice. I go to a gym in a small town so I have dumbbells, kettlebells (only up to 25lbs I think), and one bench and one squat rack. It’s the only gym in town and mostly used by high schoolers which is why I don’t want to struggle with just the bar and hear about it every day at work. Right now I just try to run a mile and use the rowing machine for an hour. Just looking to lose weight for now; I’ll worry about aesthetics or strength later

Not really dumbbell but should help anyways: For bench press do push ups. If you cannot do push ups, start them by just leaning to a wall, the gradually get into a more prone position. If you can do push ups and still cannot bench the bar, go for decline push ups by resting your feet higher than your hands.

For Squats you can start assisted by just holding to a pole while doing them. When you are able to do a few squats without any added weights, try for weighted once.

Are you doing anything else that involve your biceps? Also bench pressing has nothing to do with your biceps so I'm not sure why that's relevant. Is that all you do? What's your total program like?
My biceps have grown just doing dumbbell curls 3x8-10, but sometimes I lower the weight by quite a lot and do 21s (not 21 reps, 7 reps of the lower half, 7 of the upper half, then 7 of the entire movement all in one set). Also I do shitloads of chin ups. I program them for strength using a 5/3/1 scheme, I also do 5x10 for volume on other upper days. If 3x8 bb curls is all you're doing and it's not working, either do more volume or do more lifts that work your biceps.

Your doctor is a little slow if he hasn't already mentioned this, but you probably have ankylosing spondylitis. It is a condition related to rheumatoid arthritis. If your back hasn't started hurt, it likely will in the coming years. You need to stay active, it is the single most important thing for keeping flair ups away. Iritis will usually go down with a few months of prednisone drops.. but I've had stubborn flair ups that required stronger steroids. Worst case scenario in the medium term is that your back pain will be too much to handle, or eyes getting damaged and you will have to move to a biologic like Humira. Luckily, constant exercise has kept basically every symptom away. My pain flair ups have been so bad I couldn't roll over in bed. You should ask your doctor to get blood work to look for the genetic marker for the disease - HLA-B27. There are preventative medications like sulfasalazine that work well. GL

I made it, bro's. I got a gf for the first time in my life and it felt like divine intervention as it happened just a year before I hit wizadry. She's 21, really cute and I'm her first.
Slight problem tho; she has childhood trauma which I'm a bit worried about. Her parents used to beat her over the smallest things and threaten her with all kinds of shit like selling her to gypsies or dropping her off the street. Just a bunch of terrible shit. When she told me all of this I was just stunned and I felt so fricking terrible, child abuse just really gets to me but I think I managed to listen to her and support her quite well as she thanked me for being there for her and all that. But I'm just curious, will this have consequences down the line? She's sane but I think what if something happens or maybe I say the wrong thing and that triggers something inside her? I'm not really used to dealing with people emotions like this

      Anonymous

an untraumatized, fully mentally healthy 21 year old is not going to date a 29 year old unless that 29 year old is quite attractive, which I am guessing you are not based on your near-wizardry. That doesn't mean you can't have a great relationship with her, but this is par for the course when you want a girl who's much younger than you, and it's something you'll have to learn to deal with unless you want to start dating women your age or become much more attractive. Same is true if you're dating women who are visually out of your league (even if around the same age) -- if there weren't something wrong with them, they would already be taken by someone more attractive. Nobody's perfect though and I've found that I can have deeper connections with people who are also a bit messed up in the head, it's no fun being with someone who's never experienced hardship in their life when you have, knowing they can't relate at all. These types of women will also be much less likely to lose attraction and leave if you ever show a bit of weakness like crying at your mother's funeral. Will it have consequences? Almost definitely, but that doesn't mean those consequences are insurmountable. Just be chill and see where things go, only in time will you know if her trauma manifests in ways that you aren't willing to deal with. Congrats on not becoming a wizard, best of luck.

I had my hardships during childhood but not to the degree she has. I haven't told her much about it because she hasn't asked much about it and I don't want her to feel like I'm making it about me. Not sure if that's the right approach

          >I haven't told her much about it because she hasn't asked much about it and I don't want her to feel like I'm making it about me. Not sure if that's the right approach
definitely, that's what I'd recommend. trauma-bonding leads to bad relationships. she can share her issues, and you can share yours, but they should be separate conversations, you shouldn't be talking about them together as a way to get closer. if it comes up at some point, it's fine for you to talk about whatever you've been through, but don't connect it with her issues

ok, so I had the right idea. I just heard to never make stuff about yourself when someone else is talking. Thank you

I just ended a relationship with a borderliner and it also started out to be a very good one but turned into nightmare rather quick. Look out for yourself while in the relationship. Especially check whether she starts tearing you down, or you start feeling depressed. Mine messed me up quite a bit. The "I can save her"-Thinking is very real and very destructive. Also do not let a girl seperate you from your friends or force herself into all meetings with your friends. No matter how sweet she is, keep a place that you can "mentally retreat" into. Also listen, and then carefully investigate, when your friends suggest she is not good for you or when they note that you changed. You will not notice if this happens at first.

Ohh and when she suggests to move in with eachother or get engaged very early on, DO NOT DO THAT! It is a trap.

Well I didn't know that she had issues like this when we met, she's quite normal so I didn't have that "I can fix her" mentality. We've been together for like 3 months now I think. Only reason I found out about it was because she was acting a bit off after she went to visit her parents a few weeks ago, I just asked her what was bothering her and that's when she told me all of this. Visiting her parents apparently brought up some bad memories
I'm trying to be observant and careful, this is my first serious relationship so I'm trying to be quite cautious. So no marriage or anything yet

              >I didn't know that she had issues like this when we met, she's quite normal
then you're probably in the clear. my dad beat me as a kid and I decked him in a drunken rage once as an adult but I'm mostly normal apart from browsing this website. being brought back to old trauma can be really difficult to handle, and sounds like she handled it quite well. I wouldn't worry unless you start to see issues in things unrelated to her parents.

              >an untraumatized, fully mentally healthy 21 year old is not going to date a 29 year old
why tho? 21 and 31 are when females and males peak respectively in terms of looks, health and life situation

              >why tho?
because it's socially taboo and there are in general significant maturity level differences. you also cut out the part where I said "unless that 29 year old is quite attractive". I've got nothing against age gap relationships, it makes me happy seeing old crones mad that men their age are dating younger, and young incels mad that girls their age are dating older. but that's the reality, most normal, well-adjusted people are going to date people within a 5 year range of themselves.

do you think a tinder girl will notice i look different than my picture on tinder? i used a fake photo but im doing well with a hot girl and want something out of it. i dont look too far off it (same hair color, skin, beard, eyes, shoulders) just in a bulk so a little heavier than the photo and face is different. rest of the profile with my height, job, and whatever are real tho

pic related is the one i used. i did it more to see if people would match with the black sun symbol but i dont think normies even know what it is, shouldve tried with swastika. i look similar just short hair instead of man bun and bigger by maybe 20-30lbs of muscle/fat

          >i am 6'5 and good job so a picture isnt all
It isn't all /to you/, but it is to the girls matching with you. Height and good job are additives, they improve the profile of someone with an attractive face. but face is still the number one and you could have all the stats in the world and they don't matter if the girl doesn't like the way you look. you just wasted your time trying to have a conversation with someone based on a false premise. if you're lucky the girl will walk out of the date the second she sees you, if you're unlucky you'll have to go through an awkward dinner where she doesn't want to be there and maybe even starts asking uncomfortable questions about how you look different than your pics

              Anonymous

well that's not going to work either, the chances of you matching with her there are pretty low. how many pictures do you have on your fake profile? if you actually want any chance of success, here's what you need to do, get her number so you can move the conversation off tinder, set up a date, then sometime before the date, unmatch her on tinder so she has no way of going back to verify what you looked like in those pics. then there's a chance she'll find you attractive in person and trick herself into thinking maybe that actually was you in the photos but with weird lighting or slightly old photo or something. pretty low odds of success unless you look pretty similar to the guy, but tbh it's your only shot. worth a try if you're ok with the potential of the whole thing going to shit lol

Really dumb question, how much does the average bar weigh at your normal commercial gym? 35lb or 45lb? Have to settle an argument

      Anonymous

Standard bars (olympic bars) are 45lb.

There are practice bars for oly lifting, not common, that are ~15lb.
Most other bars, such as loadable curl bars or whatever, will also probably be 15lbs.

I understand that increasing weights and strength varies greatly person to person and has various factors, but is there a good, objective chart/metric I can use to see what my ideal lifts should be and if my progress has been good so far, or lacking? Has anyone had any success about turning around their parents lifestyles? I love my dad and he’s started “keto” after seeing my progress at the gym over the past year and a half. Every day he seems to cheat on his diet by making exceptions like a “no sugar” coke or eating something obviously not meant for keto like icecream or carbs and just doesn’t make progress. I’m almost ashamed to at how little he commits to goals he’s trying to achieve. I don’t push anything on them and just walk with them every other day to try get them active.

Might sound like I’m being a c**t but I just don’t want my parents to die of heart disease at 65. But I also know that shame isn’t the answer.

    Yohimbine

What’s a good dose to start out with?
2.5 mg is the lowest I’ve found and even that seems like too much to start out with

      Anonymous

      >Yohimbine
      HCL, no bark extract.
      >What’s a good dose to start out with?
Are you already lean? You have to already be like sub ~12% for it to do anything.
It isn't a thermogenic itself, it makes fat more accessible for fuel, but your body, systematically, shouldn't have a problem with mobilizing triglycerides out of the cell if you're still over ~12%. It is more useful for the lean who wish to get leaner.

      >2.5 mg is the lowest I’ve found and even that seems like too much to start out with
You can start with a lower dose and build up a tolerance so you don't get jitters or whatever, but the guideline is
      0.2mg/kg Yohimbine HCL
      combined with 200mg caffeine
(may also add 300mg ECGC or 1-2 mg nicotine gum).

Note: You also HAVE to do FASTED exercise (cardio) to utilize that fat/burn energy, insulin completely inhibits the effect of yohimbine. Yohimbine doesn't just burn calories like DNP, it just acts on receptors in the fat cells so they release triglyceride and so that they can be used during exercise.

        Anonymous

        >0.2mg/kg Yohimbine HCL

is it a good idea to add some other stuff to the stronglift program? crunches, tricep pushdown, cable curl etc.

after the first month or so, yes. read the stronglifts manual it tells you what lifts are best and how to add them onto the program.

Conjugate, Juggernaut Method 2.0, one of the various sheiko templates, Jugg AI, Sheiko Gold, 5/3/1, etc. There's quite a lot to choose from.

So Anons, there's two things on my mind, firstly is my squats, whilst they're progressing nicely I can feel my form deviate more and whilst I'm not injuring myself yet, I feel like I'm getting close to, whilst without weight I can squat without deviation, now that I've hit 125lbs its becoming more of an issue, with more pressure on my lower and sometimes during a really bad rep upper back, more than likely this'll probably be solved by 70%, 80%, 90% warm ups.

Secondly that whilst I'm feeling great from my lifts there are two parts of my body lagging behind, mainly my left shoulder blade and triceps on my left arm. Whilst the mirroring arm looks and feels large and proportionate (bicep/tricep), my left looks like it has a massive bicep plastered onto a skinny person's body. Are there any accessories I can incorporate to ease this imbalance?
    >Inb4 stop wanking
I... I get off with my left hand.
But otherwise I'm looking into rowing machines to try and help, but any suggestions would be amazing.

Do a few less work sets at your heavy weight and do a couple backoff sets at lighter weight, making a point to use good form.
      >now that I've hit 125lbs
      ...
      Ok...
So if you were doing 5x5 @ 125lb, do 3x5 and then go down to say 105x5, 95x8-10, really controlling the eccentric and maybe pausing at the bottom.
Or schedule a light day in between heavier days.
      >I... I get off with my left hand.
Right hand mouse, left hand dick master race, I learned on the internet too.

I know 125lbs isn't a lot just that's the benchmark that I tend to start struggling at on a standard 5x5 as I've gone from a 5/3/1 to dyle recovering over the last two years, finally want to make it and stay there. That and I can't believe I'm saying this, but my reference point before was how my arse felt in my joggy bottoms, and now I've torn them in half with my arse and have no replacement pair, my reference point is also off which makes it harder to tell where I am in my squat.
        >3x5 125lbs then the rest being lower weight higher volume.
        Sounds like a plan Anon.
        >I learned on the Internet too
Just a ambidex sperg, somethings just don't feel natural in my right hand, wanking is one of them.

I didn't say lower weight and higher volume.
I said lower weight, making it a point to have excellent form.

Everyone loses some depth the heavier they go, that's just natural. Those point of going lighter after the heavy work is that your highest threshold Type 2 fibers are already activated, so doing backdown sets is still engaging them when you do hit depth and do it with control.

I was just looking for this pic in my folder

Your BODY wants something but your BRAIN associates that something with a frosty cold sugar beverage. There isn't necessarily anything wrong with sugar if it also has whatevers nutrient your body needs, though, but maybe just try some grapes or an apple and some water instead.

When I do hanging leg raises where I touch the bar with my feet it hurts my collarbone and I feel it the next day. Is there any way to do this without it hurting? I've been doing leg raises with dumbbels between my feet instead of the toe touch which doesn't hurt me

You mean like you're hanging from a chinup bar and bring your legs all the way up to touch your feet on the bar?
If your goal is to train your abs, just do weighted crunches on one of those inflatable exercise balls, extending your spine around the ball.

Doubt there are any gastroenterologists here, but is it bad to eat a meal extremely slowly? As in over the course of ~2 hours.
Sometimes I will heat up a meal, sit down in front of my computer, and slowly eat it while gaming, watching videos, etc. Will this frick up my digestion at all?

      Anonymous

Digestion itself, no. But if I was to dust off my PhD in Enbrocringeology, I would guess that the slower intake (especially of a meal that has a lot of carbs and protein) may cause weird insulin release problems. The stomach would be constantly sending signals it is receiving food, and protein and carbs in tandem would cause significant insulin release from the pancreas until the stomach has signaled it is emptied, at which point the pancreas tapers off. Extended insulin release can cause shit like reactive hypoglycemia in non-diabetics, which usually happens when a person's pancreas does not shut off insulin release properly after the stomach has been emptied. No guarantees of that happening, of course but there's a possibility.
Of course you're also taking the chance of you not being able to finish your food as your leptin may kick in part way into that time and cause you to not want to eat anymore. Not a problem if you're on a cut, but a bulk would prove more tricky this way.

Depends how you're defining "IF" because nobody gives a straight fricking answer. In broad strokes, I will say it's not as useful once you get to around 15% body fat and may even be detrimental as you get to 12% and lower. I started experiencing bad shit when I reached that point, and hurt my productivity and gym gains. Fat people gain the most from fasting, while leaner people might experience more of the oxidative stress symptoms from it. The longevity benefits are tenuous in humans as there's very little information about autophagy activity in humans.
That said, your protocol will dictate the outcome.

I don't see any real problems with this, and have done this for several years with no real issue. I didn't develop issues until I started actually cutting with this method and threw in longer fasts once or twice a week.

    Is my girlfriend coping?
I'm 180cm and have dropped about 6kg, my gf is 160cm and has lost about 2kg.

She says it's a lot harder for her to lose weight since I can eat a lot more and still lose weight due to my height, but isn't it all proportional? Wont she be satiated with less food because everything about her is smaller?

      >Wont she be satiated with less food because everything about her is smaller?
No. Hormones are huge in this game. Being satiated is one set of hormones, but if you have healthy test and are active you are far more efficient at burning fat than she would be.

Hey op, I struggle w asthma and some anxiety and working out has been hard for me lately. I suggest starting small - whether it be bodyweight or look for forms of exercise that are challenging but aren't as stressful IE swimming. Also, consult with your doctor or a personal trainer to come up with a proper workout routine where you can stay fit but not put yourself at risk. But seriously, consult a doctor.

How much water one needs to drink during his workout ?
At 6'5 277lbs (198cm for 126kg) and bodyfat 25%, I workout 2 hours and drink about 1.5L water during it

Is it too much? Can it hinder my weight loss ?
