Peel off outer skin of the bulb. Peel skin off of the clove until you see the white soft surface.

something with absorption i believe. i dont remember i read about it ages ago. the supps might be good, i just know that once you're used to it the raw stuff is really easy, cheap, and has worked for me thus far.

The point is that the crushed/cut garlic should sit for a few minutes before you eat it, so that the allicin can form. Just chewing it without doing this first does not achieve the same effect, though it is probably still pretty good.
