      Don't listen to this moron: , he doesn't know what he's talking about. The parts of oils that are used by the body for functions outside of being burned for energy are essential fatty acids, which are the same no matter where they come from. It's also worth noting that seed oils are generally a great source of essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid. Vegetable oils are a great source of these as well. Meat fats not so much.

          I'd agree with you on that unsaturated fats (so EVOO as well, among others) if the content of that page was all I knew about biology
          I recommend you read up about the metabolism of fats in general, and the difference between the metabolism of saturated vs. unsaturated fats

    its probably not much worse than other fats but eating too much of it will probably frick you up. lots of data at your finger tips with a simple good. you shouldnt really be eating highly processed foods often anyways. I cook with clarified butter (takes 10 minutes to make a big batch) and EVOO. canola oil tastes like ass

      I think this is the key. Canola and vegetable oils are mutant monstrosities of GMOs and random pesticides blended together for their cooking properties, not health. Refined whole oils like peanut and corn oil aren't the healthiest but they're fine now and then in deep fried treats. Cold-pressed oils and animal fats genuinely have extra nutritional value and should be the bulk of your fat consumption.
