Redpill me on Glasses

Redpill me on Glasses

So I work from home for like 3 years and I´ve noticed my vision getting worse, probably because I'm always on the computer and quite the avid gamer.

I went to a glasses store and told them that I want glasses to drive at night, be on the computer and gaming.

They did the checkup and show me the glasses for me, my vision was way better so I ended up buying.

The thing is that im not sure if I should wear them always since my vision even during the day is better or should I only use to work, gaming and driviing, which honestly is 95% of daily routine since I work from home.

The problem is that people say it worsens your vision without glasses and I dont really want to do that.

Im also thinking of getting a LASIK eye surgery next 2 years

This is cope, it's purely your shit genetics.

This. I have the same shitty vision as my mom and she grew up without computers. My brother sits in front of his computer as much as me and he has perfect Chad vision from my dad.

I mean it's not really cope, I don't really care if it's about genetics, but more looking for a solution, I just assumed it was because im always on the computer, but if it's about genetics then it means I should wear the glasses till I get some sort of surgery?

It's not because of computer usage, you just had an unlucky genetics roll and got bad eyes.
As for wearing glasses, why haven't you gone to an eye doc? Let them tell you what your options are and what's best.

I mean I just went to the glass store, I never went to a Doctor, should I do that now even if I already bought the glasses.

Why wouldn't you, no harm done. They can tell you about lasik too. And bring your glasses and explain the situation.

It's incredibly time consuming and difficult to do, do you think keeping your sight at the limit of your vision is easy?
The only way it can work is exclusively by working at your pc all the time while always keeping the same distance from the screen while your sight slowly adapts, then increasing distance or lowering vision.

      >The problem is that people say it worsens your vision without glasses and I dont really want to do that.
I can't verify that claim really, but if it's true, then you're cursed either with or without them. Ever since I got the glasses my natural eyesight has become visibly worse, before getting them I couldn't see text and some facial characteristics, now I have slight struggle seeing shapes and objects.
Either way, I am preparing to start some DIY orthokeratology, similar to what they used to do it in ancient China (they put sandbags on their eyes over night, I'll try it with frozen peas or something), sandbags seem rather unpractical.

This is a cope basedence is selling to people. Everyone in my family has a perfect eyesight except for myself and two cousins of mine (programmers and doctors).

        what's the logic here?

Myopia is caused by excessive eye growth so the logic is to push the eye back in.
It's only a temporary effect though, lasts up to 72 hours, you can't really reverse myopia, you would need to undo the excessive eye growth somehow and every method that exists out there is a corrective method, even the LASIK.

          >This is a cope basedence is selling to people. Everyone in my family has a perfect eyesight except for myself and two cousins of mine (programmers and doctors).
Gigacope. I'm mid 20s and have stared at screens my entire life and have perfect vision. If not genetics how do you explain kids needing glasses?

And what of all those kids who do the same, and even in teenage years and adulthood, and yet have perfect vision? It's your shitty genes giving you shit eyesight.

              >And what of all those kids who do the same, and even in teenage years and adulthood, and yet have perfect vision?
Some people don't develop skin cancer from standing in the sun for hours, some do. I guess some people are more myopia-resistant, I'm not saying genetics doesn't have a role, I just say that it's grossly overestimated.
              >temporarily
Yes that's what I said moron.

So you're saying I can temporarily have perfect vision if I put weights on my eyes? am I getting memed?

Yes, you need to be careful not to put too much stress though. Shit's the same for every muscle though, try holding a heavily loaded bar on your chest/stomach/leg/whatever, you'll obviously have the bar mark, but muscles will regain its normal shape in few minutes. Guy above is just sperging out about muh genetics.

If you need glasses (and it sounds like you do), just use them. It'll only get worse if you don't use them as you further strain your eyes.

Imagine how better the world would be without glasses.

Dont do lasik. You might get severe side effects.
Look up the end myopia movement and learn active focus. This will slowly reverse your myopia back to 20/20.
