Give it a try. If it's for you, you'll notice the benefits. If it makes your hair worse, stick to shampoo. There is no magic one trick for everyone's hair. Just do what works for you.
shampoo is completely unnecessary unless you spend a full day shoveling dirt or manure or something else that makes it affirmatively filthy. . Daily showering, and running the warm water through your hair, stimulating your scalp with your fingers as if you DO have shampoo in there is every bit as good.
You do clean your hair and wash and groom yourself, just without shampoo or soap. Not needed.
I'm growing my hair out for the first time (about ~6 inches now) and trying to figure out what works best. From internet research the general consensus is you don't want to shampoo too much, once or twice a week, but everyone's hair is different. Mine looks best about 3-7 days after using shampoo, but if I continue then day 9 looks disgustingly greasy (I do shower every day, just not shampoo). Trying to find a way to keep the day 3-7 look without getting too greasy
ive been growing my hair for almost 4 years now (outside of clipping hair around my face), my hair is pretty curly. shampoo really fricks my hair up because its curly hair, strips it of the oils, makes it way too fluffy. i alternate every other week using shampoo one sunday, then conditioner the next sunday.
but then when i shampoo is the next time, the water is basically gray coming out. but i dont really think my hair is that greasy or smells. i just use costco shampoo and conditioner
I used to do It when I had long hair. Only used conditioner and my hair actually looked better, it actually "stayed down" instead of being more afro like (I have wavy hair when it get's long). Now I have really short almost buzzed hair so I don't really see the point and went back to shampoo but I don't use it everyday like before. My head/hair never smelled bad and I was never accused of looking like I didn't shower or anything like that.
I've stopped using head and shoulders daily and started using nicer stuff every 3 days, and just using water on the others. so far my hair does look and feel better.
Shampoo is terrible especially if you grow your hair out.
If you suffer from psoriasis or dermatitis like myself it will be some grueling months, but worth it.
Used to wash it everyday. Then moved on to thrice a week with daily conditioning it.
Next month, you reduce to twice a week, three times conditioner.
Next month, you reduce to once a week and twice condition it.
Now I just wash it once a week and condition it during the summer.
I make my own soap which I use to wash my body. When my hair feels too greasy or dirty, I wash my hair with this same soap. It's homemade, natural, only 3 ingredients so there's no way it's bad for my hair. And our ancestors would be disgusted with us if they saw us with our soap, shampoo, conditioner, face wash, etc. No. One bar of soap is all we need.
I tried out no poo during the pandemic.
I didn't wash my hair for 2,5 monts.
The method kind of works.
You still need to wash your hair with water, though.
Also you can put a few drops of lavender oil in the water and maybe baking powder.
It acts like a shampoo, it won't remove the hair oils only the dandruff.
I had to stop doing the no poo thing because the weather got so hot my head started to sweat and itch like crazy so I washed my hair.
But I promised to myself that I'll only wash my hair once a week.
Also a good tip is to change your shampoo to a bio shampoo.
I used head and shoulders and it made the itching worse then I switched to a bio shampoo and the itching went away
fit in particular rages against soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc. but they always say that people (especially girls) tell them how good they smell without even being asked to do so, so i believe them
Shampoo isnt really necessary unless your hair is like full of dirt and dust and blood or whatever.
Just wash well with water and use conditioner. Brush when dry. Brush regularly.

If you don't wash your hair is smells like dog

What about the Black?
you don't need it as often as you need conditioner, MAYBE once a week
>but i have greasy hair
yeah it's because you shampoo too often
once a week
everyday kills your scalp and then of course your hair
try to go for non goyslop shampoo
Shampoo with ketoconazole or don't shampoo. Always use conditioner.

Do it like once a week because doing it too much will damage your hair and leave it too dry, but never shampooing will leave it kinda dry as well
I use shampoo, but not much because i have a buzzcut becauae i am not a fricking homosexual who cares about my coiffure like africking homosexual

Wash your hair every other day. That's it. I'm 25 and everyone that's touched my hair has mentioned how soft it is.
Baby shampoo and or happy Cappy's. Vanicream for conditioner. CeraVe for moisturizer. Best for sensitive skin

I buzz my hair as short as possible and I still have to shampoo it or else I get dandruff. When I actually had hair I was always a greasy frick.
I would shampoo once and sometimes twice a week, I would condition everyday tho

Looks like there's a strong correlation between being a ISTner and not washing your hair
