    Just lift weights. Calisthenics is great for general strength, conditioning and gymnastics. But adding weight is pointless because it won't help much. Even is you got to an obscene amount of weight on something like a dip or pull up you would have been better off with either free weights or a different form of pul up or dip.

      pull up is the best row variation because you can overload it easily and it decompresses your spine and doesn't hurt it like bent over row

        Sure but you wouldn't go calling a bench press a Calisthenics workout. Squat. Sure I'll give you that.
        My original point was what is really different between Calisthenics and weighted Calisthenics. Apparently it's only going to affect your dip/pullup/squat I see no reason to not do weighted then

          What have you learned about squats? I've traded weighted squats for a fuck-ton of bw squats out of concern for my knees. Just not sure which one is better. I assumed higher reps at no weight would be better but now I'm not sure.
