>relative's family is psychotically obsessed with "body positivity" because they had another family member have anorexia

>relative's family is psychotically obsessed with "body positivity" because they had another family member have anorexia
>instead of being reasonable people and finding a middle ground, they went the complete opposite route and now think obesity is healthy and good
>tell relative's family I'm watching my diet, worried I might be undereating / overeating (bulking / cutting again after I stopped weightlifting a few years ago)
>tell me what I said sounds mentally ill and bulimic

Why are people like this?
Why are they so fucking dysgenic?
>someone does something to unhealthy extreme
>immediately take the complete opposite, AND use it for social justice brownie points
>deny basic reality and make INSANE copes when it backfires ("obese people are unhealthy because the food is unhealthy", not because they're literal fucking hamplanets whose hearts have to work 500% to keep them alive)

It makes me so fucking mad anons, and because I'm a bit of a self-doubting guy, I get the intrusive thought that maybe THEY'RE right.
Sorry for the blog anons, it's just fucking maddening.

Nobody cares, if they really think that having problems getting up and walking is healthy its pretty self explanatory

      What do you mean, anon?

Bruh don't doubt yourself, you're doing great keep it up.
Do not let them interfere in your diet if they aren't supportive and capable of understanding why you're doing it.

Thanks, fren. I appreciate that - when everyone from every side constantly tells you obesity is good, any sort of dieting / weight control is bad, that being IST leads into eating disorders, and that you're the crazy one, it's a little hard to stay motivated.
I like that this has been the narrative for 30 years now, but people keep talking about the "MUH DIET CULTURE BOOGEYMAN" . Even insane calorie-counting cool wine aunts are healthier than the average fat.
I just try to harden my heart to this shit, and it seems to help.

Believe in yourself and act as you think is right, be the proof of your values. Never let your anger take over, and if you want to prove you're right never let your anger manifest in front of them. When they say silly shit just frown a little and incline your head slightly to the side to show them you rationally disagree, then they will have to examine their position.
    God bless you

Forgot to add, consider their history with dealing w/ anorexia, its a nightmare. I hope you arent talking about dieting and weight in front of a person dealing with this mental illness.
If you are browsing fit you probably are autistic and didn't notice this.

God bless, friend - that's very good advice, honestly, thank you.
I've really got to work on being less insecure, because when normies say insane shit, even if I've proven to myself that it's crazy, I still start to doubt myself.
I'll definitely try working on the anger (I think it stems from the insecurity), and I'll try being less confrontative.

Telling you that you sound mentally I’ll and bulemic doesn’t sound very body positive at all tbh m8. Why would you discuss your diet with anyone least of all normies. Even worse gfs normie relatives. And even worse fat normie gfs relatives. Are you rarted. I don’t walk into AA and try to casually chat about going out for a beer last night

    's family
    So... Your family right?

Aye, but rather, cousin's family, so a bit more extended than "immediate" family.

Forgot to add, consider their history with dealing w/ anorexia, its a nightmare. I hope you arent talking about dieting and weight in front of a person dealing with this mental illness.
If you are browsing fit you probably are autistic and didn't notice this.

No, no, I'm not that autistic anon. Truth be told, I know the person they're talking about, and their "anorexia" was just under-eating for a few years. They never went below 13% B.F. - they went about it in an unhealthy way, for sure, but the way they react to it is like the person almost died.

And even then, I get that anorexia is a nightmare, but surely they cannot be so irrational as to get hysterical if you even MENTION not overeating.
And I've never brought up my ISTness in front of the anorexic either.
In fact, this almost never comes up, which is why it's all the more hurtful, because I've maybe talked about it 2 times in the 20+ years we've been in touch.
AND they asked the questions about it first.

Telling you that you sound mentally I’ll and bulemic doesn’t sound very body positive at all tbh m8. Why would you discuss your diet with anyone least of all normies. I'll keep that in mind, anon.
As I mentioned above, I never talk about it out of nowhere - they literally asked me about it first, and I just thought that I could mention that I'm trying to lose a bit of fat % (at 16%, want to get to 13-14%.)

Also, the incredible thing is they love transgenders and think cutting your cock / tits off is completely normal, but wanting to be buff is insane and unhealthy.

Stay strong in your convictions, brother. NEVER bend the knee to the hamplanets. They only try to drag you down to justify their own greed. They aren't even YOUR family (not close family anyway) they care not for your well-being.
When you have obese family members, the best thing to do is ignore all of their intentionally-harmful "advice" (my parents have NEVER, in my ENTIRE FUCKING LIFE, given me ANY advice other than "stop working out" and "you're too skinny". They said that 2nd one when I was obese by BMI, and trust me, BMI was right in that case).
Never listen to obese opinions. Revel in their seethe.
And yes, you CAN trust BMI on that, since the only ones who defy it are roidtrannies, whose opinion counts for even less than fats.
take advice from men and women who look like picrel.

Cheers to that, fren - reassurance helps, for sure. I've always thought precisely that, but having been out of IST for a few years, I forgot much of what I learned here.
And the world's gone fucking mad with encouraging obesity and sickness under the guise of "body positivity".
I unironically miss 2012 radical feminism / Tumblr shit, this modern age is fucking mad.

However, looking at picrel, isn't the girl on the right borderline dying?
I'm all for health, but her skin is literally stretching on the bone, her knees are wider than her thighs.

Yeah you kinda have a point, the girl in the pic (Eugenia Cooney) is starting to get bad now after decades, and I'd personally trust the word of the man on the left more. However she is the biggest producer of fatty seethe the world has ever known, and clearly has a mindset that doesn't crack under normie pressure. The man on the left (Idk his name) likely has non-insane family and friends that actually at least support him becoming healthy.
His habits and her mindset is kinda what I was trying to convey.

Having muscles and being sub 30% bodyfat is extreme and probably fits eating disorder criteria. Always going to be a bad time talking about anything related to diet or athletics with normalfags.

    >get my shit together and start eating healthier and exercise
    >lose 10 kg with CICO
    >show results to my semi intelligent friend (always looks up scientific research, reads a shit ton of books)
    >visibly impressed
    >some time later he decides to lose some weight aswell
    >decides to go into a rabit hole of keto, intuitive eating and calories don't matter
    >try to convince him it doesn't work like that, but instead listening he says I am a horrible egoistic person and the research shows otherwise (proves loss of weight but not fat)
    >adds oil and uses animal fat / butter to cook everything, but thinks rice and potatoes are evil
    >eats a shit ton of seeds and nuts everyday which are more calories than a bag of chips
    >it has been a month now and he lost 3 kilograms of water
    >tells me I was wrong and that I am a bullshitter

Why are normies like that? Everything is fine with them unless they try to lose weight. Then their brains completely turn off and they try the most radical shit instead of just being logical.

Don't argue with normies - there's no argument/evidence they'll accept. They're children to the core.
I'm not fond of your dietary choices but I respect your sense of reason.

losing weight takes willpower. most normies have none

This. Most people have absolutely zero self discipline. They are driven by instant gratification and a short lasting spark of motivation. The bar is set so low that after a few months of lifting you can achieve a better physique than the guy that has a "fit" body and tells everyone how much he loves gym and working out.

Keto and meme diets fuck over most midwitts. There is enough literature praising it that they can cling tightly to it and cope like it’s some religious doctrine: ignoring all calls to reason. The sad part is the endless cycle of not losing any actual weight but water weight, binging on carbs when their willpower fails, then doing a more extreme diet next time cutting out even more food items. It’s unironically mental illness that is based around an unhealthy relationship with food. The reason why CICO, along with a healthy diet with whole foods and home made meals, is so effective is because it is sustainable, and doesn’t work on a binge purge mentality, making it so you can enjoy a sweet or a beer every now and again without ruining your whole diet. This makes it so you can continue it throughout your life and maintain a healthy weight and body composition.

Why do autists always have to torture people with their inane rants, then get offended when someone has a different opinion than them?

Newsflash: You don't need to tell people everything your pea-sized brain comes up with. You bulk/cut? Great, nobody asked.

And yeah you probably have an eating disorder, all of fit has one.
