      Go as deep as possible and add weights too. Don't believe any of the morons who say it is bad for you. Going deep will improve your ROM and flexibility. If mobility is an issue, then a good exercise is to lower the weight/go bodyweight, then go as low as possible and then hold for a few seconds. This will give you a good stretch yet also bulletproof your shoulders. Ideally use a shoulder wide grip otherwise going wider will risk rotator cuff impingement

    I've replaced BP with Dips an Incline Bench (mostly because I sucked at it lmao) and I've been seeing good gains esp on the shoulders. I've also progressed quite a bit, right now I can comfortably do 10 reps with 30kg, aiming for at least 2pl8 within the next two months

                Also, that's not how that works, nobody does totals for weighted bodyweight exercises because they cannot be equal, having 10 pounds extra of upper body muscle tissue will convert to way more than 10 lbs added.

    Once I got past 2 plates weighted my shoulders were screaming in pain regardless of form, not worth fricking myself up, I only do them at the end of my push workout weightless just to finish off my workout and frick around at the gym for some more time now.

    It doesn't replace bench press because the pushing is less horizontal and you already get a lot of the benefits from this plane of motion if you already overhead press. If you wanted a bench replacement, then weighted pushups would be better. Bench is a lot more consistent which ultimately is better for strength training imo, it's easier to load, safer, leaves less room for form variations and swing, easier to fully quantify a rep etc.
