I work full time as a valet attendant. My shoulder was aching and I work the rest of the week so I just kinda decided to just chill, but now I heard about active recovery on rest days

Yes. Going for a walk is a good rest-day activity.
Sounds good but we need to make sure we don’t have the same rest days so we’re not both hanging with your wife at the same time
What if you’re resting from doing. Lot of running?
If you have a sedentary lifestyle, then go for a 1h+ walk (or equal distance bicycling). It is still good to have some form of body movement instead of completely nothing. Also I will look more into yoga, idk shit about it but it is apparently great for your body. My expectation/assumption is that doing yoga next to the walk/bicycling is wise, especially a bit more 'intense' after you get used to yoga (and you can do simpler yoga during active days on the side).

I do that on days that I train.

I just jerk off a lot. The light cardio really helps on my recovery without impacting the gains, and I get to basically chill the whole time.
yeah it happens to me too. In rest days i just wanna workout, feels weird because for 30 years i wasnt a person who liked to workout but know im into this "fitness path" i just want to keep working out. Just remember there is no progress without rest bro
