      There has never been an actual scientific link made with creatine use and hair loss.
      Creatine helps muscles retain water and metabolize energy. Hair loss comes from a byproduct of testosterone called dehidrotestosterone, or DHT for short, which is an essentially growth hormone as a child and teenager.
      Creatine has absolutely no effect on testosterone production nor the creation of DHT.

      As for OP's question, you don't have to cycle it and you can start or stop taking it whenever. You don't have to do a loading phase either. 3 to 5g a day will achieve complete muscle saturation within around 3 weeks. Taking it every day after that keeps the muscles saturated, which is what you want in the first place.

People act like creatine is a steroid and then give advice about it like it’s a steroid, but for some reason so many morons thought that the advice was real that they think you need to cycle creatine, to the point that people who believed this so long will not want to give up this belief and will link some shitty article that says the same (which was written by another moron who fell for the joke a long time ago). No one ever admits they fell for the joke, and now even outside the English speaking world people think it’s real.

        You don’t cycle creatine and it won’t give you any benefits to do so, anyone who says otherwise is trapped in bad info that started from a really old meme.

        OP here. Yeah, that's about what I've found so far, too. There's never a reason given as to why exactly you should cycle creatine, just that you totally should, brah.

        There was a big meta-analysis that came out last year that pretty definitely showed it correlates to hair loss. Subjectively, I think I have more hair fall out when I use it.

      You can load to get up to saturation faster initially but a few weeks of slightly less than perfect isn't going to matter in the long run

      I've got both. Buddy ordered the powder, they delivered it twice and he let me have the leftover tub. Kinda like the pills more still, I can take some to work with me and spread it throughout the day.

      *5-10 g creatine daily. The optimal amount is 0.1 g/kg. So, a 200 lbs male should be taking 9 g. The tendency to dose creatine at 3-5 g is probably a major factor in the "non-resoonder" phenomenon. 3-5 g works great if you're a vegan or a small woman. If you're a normal size dude and you eat meat, you probably need more than 3-5 to notice an effect.

    I was on it for like 6 months, had my bloods checked creatinine levels were high and dr. said I would be on dialysis by 50. lol.. came off creatine and the creatinine levels went back to to normal.. so cycling it is advisable.

      Creatinine is used as an indirect marker of kidney health because damaged kidneys will pump it into your blood. However, high creatinine doesn't necessarily mean your kidneys are damaged. Creatine breaks down into creatinine, so ingesting creatine will result in higher levels of creatinine in your blood. Higher creatinine won't damage your kidneys.

      It's like your doctor visited your house, saw that your lawn was wet, and diagnosed you with rain. Turns out, you just watered your lawn. Both result in wet grass, your doctor is just moronic for jumping to conclusions instead of getting a more accurate medical history from you.

          This. Most md's are simply memoru monkies who had muscular enough memories snd attention spans to remember the shit they learned in med school. Once they're out they quit learning and just auto pilot anything they're told to say. Example, bout 7 or 8 years ago I was eating a good 20 eggs in a day and had been for a few years. East indian doctor I was at for a physical almost panicked and I had to run to the lab right away because of muh cholosterol gonna kill me. My levels came back perfect a week later and in my follow up I sat there watching this moron pore over my results for 20 minutes scrunching his brow up and muttering about it "not making sense". I haven't been to a doctor since, even when I broke my finger at work.
