    sweet potatoes are undigestible.
    it's hard to get good quality potatoes. they spray them with a ton of pesticides to kill the plant for harvesting. they always have mold on them and black spots on the inside. they're usually sprouting already in the bag.

        Some people are more sensitive than others but everyone is being damaged by eating gluten. You may be much more resistant to that damage and it may take decades for your body to finally start to succumb (at which point you will likely never identify the root cause since you're been eating it your entire life, and will blame your new health problems on "getting old") but sooner or later, your body won't be able to keep repairing the damage.

        Humans have been around for 300,000 years while agriculture has been around for less than 10,000. Think about it. Are you making the right choice based on the facts or are you choosing to keep harming yourself because the alternative is to agree with people you dislike? You're not owning "redditors" by choosing to poison yourself to spite them.

      You think this is unique? Aside from extremely specialized insects, pretty much every animal can do this. The vast majority of animals include hundreds of different foods in their diets. Even ones that are specialized do this.

      Orangutans are frugivores but their diet still includes leaves, bark, bird eggs, honey, insects, and whatever smaller vertebrates they can catch. Wolves eat anything they can catch, from the typical ungulates to any and all smaller animals, birds, bird eggs, but also apples, pears, figs, berries, and even grain crops if they're near to agricultural areas.

      You have to look very hard to find animals that don't eat whatever they can find. But why do they do this? Because in the wild, the option is generally to either eat what you can or starve. Every animal has their preferred foods, the ones that they find the tastiest and are presumably the healthiest. If you give an orangutan all the fruit he can eat, he probably won't go foraging for bark. If you give a wolf an endless diet of deer, he's probably not going to run off to start eating corn from the local farm.

      As a modern human, you are in a position to provide this scenario for yourself, to eat the optimal, healthiest diet year round. The question then becomes what exactly that diet should be, and I'll save you the trouble on that account: it should be animal foods and fruit. If you're eating a food that would have been unknown to someone living 20,000 years ago then you're fricking up.

      We grow them here, so I always have lots of them for free. I cube them into a vegetable medley to go with chicken, or sometimes cut them into fries and cook them in the air fryer. good stuff. Sorry about your third world taste palate.
