Booring to do tho
They have some that let you play games using it
>I LOVE MUH HECCIN VIDYA GAYMES!!!!!!!!!!
LIFE IS LIKE A VIDEO GAME
Yea i do
Yes.
people who buy this, and anyone who can't row for 30 minutes without a screen should be sent to forced labor prisons
>have to pay a subscription just to be able to fricking turn on the rower
big NO
If you need this to workout you should honestly just give up and be fat Jesus Christ
>put rower in front of tv
>crank up some cute girls anime
literally more entertaining than going outside and see the same boring faces and the same boring buildings
Assault bike chad is better
Ackshually it’s an armalite bike there’s no such thing as an assault bike
very funny bruh, I don't put clips on my barbell I put magazines
Assauly bike sucks. get a real stationary bike
nope, they're the absolute #1 explosive hiit
I like it because they're always free, and it works upper body too. Only downside is you're not exposing yourself to your own bodyweight as resistance which is always a good reference for your own fitness. I also worry that I'm not doing my back any favors when I get tired and start to have sloppy form, but I agree it's the best cardio and it forces you to work hard
what the frick is a matrix? is this some off brand shit? if you're gonna post images of rowing machines, then post concept 2 rowers to prevent dumb asses from buying shitty equipment.
good god why are c2 fanboys so unbearably insufferable
offbrand rowers are dogshit my friend. trust me, get a c2.
It is good, it's pretty much the only upper body cardio machine out there. Pulling/back work is also underrated for posture gains, good breathing (keeps shoulders back and chest spread/open), and massive strength/endurance gains in your grip, bis, shoulders, and back
For me, its the stair machine
meme
>rowing machine for lit steady state and warmup
>rowing machine for your regular cardio and hiit
>air bike as a workout finisher for excruciating hiit after you're done with rowing
rowing is good, but when paired with air bike it's even better
Perfect for breaking your back.
Want to do cardio with your entire body? Get an elliptic.
Well let's see
> Costs around 5000$ for a generic model
> Weighs around 400-500 pounds
> Does exactly the same as Tyson push ups except with pull instead of push
> Takes up about the third of a room
So that's why
But hey enjoy it if you like it. Just don't be surprised when people are more rational
> Costs around 5000$ for a generic model
Is it that expensive in burgerland? I got mine for 850€ with water resistance on a black friday and it does its job really well.
> Takes up about the third of a room
Most can be put up, no? But they do need space when put down, true.
got mine for 900 USD with free shipping. mine can be put up sort of, you can disconnect the rack the seat sits on from the main part.
gotta get an assault bike nexts, those are cheaper at around 845 USD
you and most people overestimate how much space a rower takes
they're either foldable or you can just put them on vertical for storage too
if an assembled rower on vertical is somehow taking "too much space" then the problem is on you for living in a tiny cubicle
$900
It's time to take off the training wheels, anons.
my rotted brain thought this was called the black concept 2 ~~*(Rowberg))
>he doesn't do uphill rowing
StairMasterRace
Enjoy it breaking after 4 reps
thats a standard model they have at a lot of commercial gyms
I have this machine and it's rock solid. Best $1000 (after taxes) I spent.
That's the gold standard for rowers, there's competitions using that exact same model (more popular than actual rowing if we go by youtube views). There's also plenty of replacement parts in case something does break.
What are some good times to go for or good distances to do in a certain time
Times for 2k, 5k and 10k?
Distances for 20min, 30min and 1h?
2k sub 7 minutes, 10k sub 38 minutes. I haven't tested my 5k time and it's not a typical racing distance so I can't give you an idea.
Thanks, now I know a bit what to aim for.
concept2 logbook is pretty useful, also allows you to connect fitness watch & HR monitor
I thought C2 logbook would only show top ranks, thanks.
>t. never has introduced boomers to exercise
Rowers suck and boomers find them difficult too. The best cardio machine is unironically a stationary bike and maybe an assault bike. So comfy for LISS cardio, comfy enough that almost everyone will adhere to using them.
>destroying your knees
Use them or lose them, dumbass.
Rowing machines and swimming are immensely better than jogging
blocks your path
Based, love jumping rope. Too bad it's so hard to find a place to do it in winter due to not having enough space in my home.
Zero impact baby! I do 30-60 minutes on the rower every day.
>expensive machine
>cardio
kek. i’d rather do resistance training instead of looking like a skeleton with bad joints. if you’re trying to burn calories just walk up a hill, it’s free and actually builds muscle.
enjoy dying of a heart failure in your mid 40s, powerfatty
Post body (we both know why you won't)
Imagine having such shit cardio that you think walking up a hill counts as cardio
Anything is better than a bike. I don’t know why bike destroys a man’s erections but they do
Im not joking but the resistance doesn't go high enough for me. Everyone has them on 10 but its still too easy
You're supposed to do it for an extended period of time, not 3x5 or 5x5 like with weights.
Yeah I know, still not hard enough for me.
>trying to egolift a goddamn rower
it's a cardio machine man
you're not supposed to be using every inch of your strength to pull the handle
you're supposed to find a comfortable resistance that you can get your heart racing on by pulling as fast as possible (without breaking form)
I just started at a new Gym, old one was privately owned $35 a fortnight new one is State owned attached to the leisure centre only $27 a fortnight which gets me Gym + Sauna, pools, spa etc.
All the equipment is technogym the government must have given these c**ts alot of money best equipped I've seen in a while 6 power racks 4 Oly platforms just all nice new shit basically no one trains there as they probably think it's no good
Anyway they have these skillmills and I acctually really like them for cardio you can run on them which feels lower impact on the knees due to the curve and if you get bored you can crank it up mid run and do a sled push or do some fancy sideways shit
