Unlike candy, cookies or ice cream, these actually fill me up. I like dried figs too.
And if you're working out you don't need to fear sugar.

mf dates have like 300kcal per 100gr, you will get fat and addicted to sugar.

You can eat a pound of these and not feel full whatsoever, but you did just slam down over 1000kcal.

I love dates. I stopped eating them due to the sugar, but I started eating them again recently because I’m constipated and they help me poop.

Dried sour cherries and cranberries are based too but unfortunately most store bought ones always contain added sugar.

Last night I took like a tbsp of milk chocolate chips, threw them in my mouth, added a date and chewed. It was pure bliss and I’m going to have to not buy either ingredient anymore because I can see this becoming habitual.

What is that like a date slop?

I do this energy balls. Just run pecans through a food processor, add cocoa powder then dates that soaked in hot water. Mix well, roll into balls and then roll around in unsweetened coconut flakes. If I’m feeling zesty I’ll put a couple chocolate chips in the center.

what in the absolute frick is this? You homosexuals will do anything but eat a proper dessert, you know it doesn't hurt you every once in a while?

This is insane levels of homosexualry. Seriously, what about you eat a cookie like a normal fricking person?

I’m not afraid of eating processed goyslop dessert but I’d most of the time I would rather have what I described than a piece of cake or cookie. You’ve never heard of date balls? We all have different tastes and me not wanting what you want isn’t strange. For example I can’t fathom how people drink sugar soda because I didn’t grow up drinking it and it tastes terrible to me.

It sounds like you were raised in a treat-based household where any positive (or even negative) feelings and accomplishments were rewarded with treats. In other words you’re like my dog and as an adult you subconsciously associate highly processed goyslop with early childhood memories and feelings.

I'm as health-conscious as the other fellows on this board. I have tried it all; vegan, carnivore, keto, you name it, I have tried it. I've also been shredded to the core and also strong af at over 20% bf. I know what it's like to be at extremes just like you.

The dangers of processed food are evident, and that's why I do eat a very healthy diet, but without going to any of the extremes. It's much more beneficial to try and get a bit of everything in, as long as it is as little processed as possible.

I used to be like you, coming up with autistic recipes just to avoid the occasional treat. I actually didn't touch any of these treats for years, no candy or pastry, very very little sugar overall.

But after the years I realised being a super over the top health and diet nut is actually more harmful than having the little treat of a donut, cookie or something else like that every once in a while. Your message and little recipe screams OCD and I'm just suggesting you chill a little. Your try-hard creativity of coming up with this non-processed alternative snacks doesn't make you superior to normies or healthier, just more autistic.

I stopped processed foods and sugar for my teeth and then it snowballed because the benefits and improved health were so extreme for me.

I live in the middle east, a Gulf country to be exact. Old timers ate these (and copious amounts of rice, bread, honey, fatty meat, fish, and milk) and were totally fine. Modern lifestyles and diets have made the people obese though

You have to put them in a bag, mixed them with dog feces and then throw them in the trash. It's the only way to conquer the date menace
