It hurts a lot because you're making it worse and if you continue it won't be a "minor" injury anymore.

this, certain types of injuries feel a lot worse even if they're not actually worse.

For example a half ripped nail will feel much worse than a fully ripped nail, because your brain is aware of the danger of it ripping further.

It doesn't... You can just ignore it.

Don't have the bar touching your palms, it should rest in the joints connecting your fingers to your palms.

You’re either grabbing the bar wrong or you need to scrape off your calluses in the shower. Once you get ~4pl8 deadlifts or do a lot of grip work, they will start to build up to the point of tearing. You need to scrape them.

Don't listen to this. Just use weight lifting straps. You aren't going to meets anyways its for your own personal strength gains so just use straps.

you need to develop grip strength moron
if its 275lbs he needs to just use hook
if its kilos then he needs to hook on his warm ups and strap on his workset

Yea it's 275lbs, and I'm doing RDLs, I don't really deadlift anymore. Gonna try hookgrip before going to straps, because I really feel like I shouldn't need them yet.

the solution is a plastic mesh but once it's in there and the numbness goes away you don't notice it

My callouses tear off on a pretty regular basis; usually in the middle of a deadlift set. Sometimes you just have to push through

moisturize your callouses you fricks. it rips because the skin is DRY instead of being PLIANT when it's hydrated.
