Sauna

Healthy or not? Sv3rige says it's bad. Which makes some kind of sense. But I just came out of the sauna and then did a cold shower and feel pretty good

Saunas are very good for you. One of the only ways for your body to rid itself of heavy metals and micro plastics. Drink enough water and electrolytes and vitamins in the hours before and after, you’ll be fine. It has a lot of the same benefits as cardio and also cleans you out in a way. Build up to long sessions

      >sweating while sitting in a steamy box is somehow more healthy than sweating while exercise
      >bonus: sweating while sitting in a steamy box causes your body to purge heavy metals and microplastics
      ???????????
Saunas are relaxing and feel nice but don't fool yourself into thinking it has some magic properties. Warmth causes your muscles to relax, which is helpful after a workout. Saunas warm up your entire body because steam has much higher thermal conductivity than hot air. You can get every purported benefit of a sauna from taking a hot bath or a hot shower.

moron. I never said it was better than exercise. Also a sauna isn’t a steamy box it is dry head, and infrared saunas are an even greater step. There are multiple studies confirming that the sweating DOES IN FACT SHED HEAVY METALS from the body

It's good for recovery and blood pressure but it ain't a miracle cure, in Finland it's done because it's enjoyable not because it has health benefits

Well I wash myself in a sauna every day, it's either that or washing myself outside in a tub.

I fricking love saunas, I don't even care if they work. Best fricking shit of my life. An ice cold electrolyte drink with a few carbs in it for a post workout relaxation sesh with the homie is beyond comfy.
