Scoliotic exercises

I have scoliosis and want to wear tighter clothing, but my shoulder blade (right side) sticks out.

What are great exercises to make my entire core stronger and my shoulder blades flat? Maybe I just hadn’t be consistent enough in the past.

I got no treatment because my mother decided she knew better than doctors, and I was 13 years old and didn’t know how untrustworthy they were with my health.

Really? Did you lose degrees as an adult? I’ve always been told that it’s impossible and only stays constant or gets worse.

it was very painful for the first 2 weeks, but the most pain i ever felt was on the last day at the hospital when they took me off morphine, it felt like every bone in my upper body was broken.

Atleast you got a scar, now you can tell chicks and your son that when your fit you’re a product of laboratory. I tell people I got bit by a shark on the scar of my leg

Train your serratus anterior lightly three times per week with a band or by doing scapular pushups.

My shoulder blade stuck out really noticeably and it fixed it in no more than a few months.

(Not so) fun fact, A LOT more people suffer from scoliosis than you might think. I forget the number, but I think it's like nearly 40% or something. Severity is all over the board of course.

Not sure what to tell you OP. I know the more fit you are, the better it will get. I myself had one leg growing longer than the other when I was like 11-12, and that caused my hips to tilt, which in turn made my spine do that because of course my head was level but my hips were not. I had surgery on growth plates in the longer leg to slow it down and allow the other to catch up, this reduced the hip offset and the curve of the spine, but it was never 100% fixed.

      >israelite doctors opt to stunt your growth instead of increasing your other leg
Sucks man. When I was 13 I had an option to get growth hormones to grow an extra 2 inches or something because being a 5’7 Manlet in a country where most guys are 6’2 is pretty bad. Doctors refused to give me them but now 20 years later you say you like playing with action figures instead of Barbies and you get injected with the test levels of a bull elephant

With scoliosis the first most important thing is to stop the further curvature of your spine. Form and posture now and till you die is everything for you.
If you're young and still growing then you need to wear a brace, if an adult like you are then you have to get your back muscles in balance from both sides. You will never be able to fully revert your scoliosis, but you can definitely make sure to stop further curvature.

First thing scoliosis patients do is stretching, and I mean proper full stretching none of that half assed shit. Just search up lumbar scoliosis stretching exercises or whichever part of your spine has the curve and take it seriously. Stretching is extremely important because currently one side of your back muscles is weaker and "shorter" than the other and by stretching you have to activate the other side and balance it out. Stretch before and after working out every time, and take it seriously.

Only after learning proper stretching you can think of actual training (same stretching should be done before that too). Best way to start is swimming, no pressure on joints and builds back muscle. Form is crucial here too, form is everything.
After stretching and swimming properly for a good while now you can think of things like lifting and actually getting your back in shape. Because you autisticaly focused on form and posture in previous exercises now you will be even more focused and precise in your form while executing lifts, if you just jumped into lifting only bad things would happen with even greater imbalance.
From then on you can basically do any sport or exercise you want and never ever forget about keeping your form and posture in check. As much as you keep it in check your scoliosis will stay in check too even in old age.
Godspeed my dear curved spine bros, you will make it.

This is pretty mild, you can 90% fix it with exercise. Notice the lateral pelvic tilt, your back is probably compensating, if you address that it should be fine. If the pelvic tilt is thw result of one leg being noticeably shorter than the other you should get orthopedics.

I don’t know if I did really. That was ten years ago though and I haven’t swam since then, so I assume I forgot.

I like this position a lot, but how do I exercise my left mid-back and my right lower back with this?

In the photo, the limbs that are lifted, are those the ones that being exercised or or the limbs still on the floor? I don’t want to exercise incorrectly and worsen my scoliosis of course.
