This. Cyclists don't even think stop signs apply to them. They're mentally deranged.

I run stop signs all the time. If you ever ride a bike more than five minutes at a time you'll understand why. It's exchausting coming to a complete stop and getting back up to speed every couple blocks. Most drivers are understanding, it's just IST degenerates and actual 90IQ morons who ape out

If you don’t have the strength to stop your bike in order to obey traffic laws, perhaps you’re not physically fit enough to ride your bike in the street.

The appropriate response to a cyclist being stupid is to wait until you can safely pass them and flip them off/yell/honk, not try to kill them. Hope this helps!

They're actually supposed to use the roads. In most cities it is illegal for them to ride on the sidewalk.

        Anonymous

No one actually enforces this. You can ride on the sidewalk all you want. Cops are too busy dealing with 9000 calls to hassle people.

You just don't know anything about jurisprudence or law. It's not just whether cops enforce it, it's also a matter of why the ordinance or statute was created in the first place. Google "negligence per se" and educate your sorry self.

won't happen in our lifetime, so not my problem

We've probably used half the world's oil in the last decade. We're going to use up the remaining half much faster in a world of 8 billion people and thousands more cars, planes, and boats.

so after buying a road bike and going out i have come to the conclusion that its not worth it, this shit makes sense on places like italy or those european placese where there are scenic roads that connect little comfy towns and are not high traffic or part of cargo truck routes, riding in any other places is just pointless and a deathwish, i ended up buying a turbo trained that it was worth as much as the bike, it sends power data and other stuff to my computer and now I'm working on increasing FTP with interval training, why ? just because , i'm not even planning in going out in the roads anymore, frick that.

      >biking to the gym
      >biking to the park to play sports with your friends

If you're in the country, yeah, probably not so good unless you really enjoy cycling on its own merits

Literally just keep your eyes open, always be prepared to stop at an intersection, and only go in the lane if the conditions let you maintain decent speed.
