op it’s doubtful many people will know the details on how well this specific scale works, that being said it probably works at least somewhat effectively, just measure regularly and if they have a different scale at your gym try that one too so you can get a comparison

It runs a low voltage current through your body and measures resistance.

      Get educated.

Define reliable. As long as it's consistent it'll give you an idea of your trend.

It's reliable for your weight. They're supposed to be very accurate even for your bodyfat now, especially since it has handles - you're meant to hold those handles while weighing right? Mine only has the feet so clearly mine is pleb tier by comparison. If you don't trust the body fat you can at least see trends.

The most useful feature for me of these machines above a plain old rotary scales is how it saves your weight over time, that's a powerful motivation and easier than writing it down somewhere. I'm not sure if mine is updated to the cloud actually I'll have to check that.

They're not reliable at all. The bF% is so stupidly bad the mirror will give you more information.

I think that one is a chinese piece of crap from Amazon. It has a big price tag for what it is but well meaning idiots see it and think it is a steal. Don’t be mean but return and use the money to either go to one you’ve researched more on if you have the money or pick up a few this and thats that are still safe to buy off that hell hole.

As a tool to measure your progress? As long as it's not broken (meaning it's consistently accurate to whatever it measures by) it'll work.

If you want an accurate read schedule a Dexa.

It's only reliable for measuring if your bf is decreasing or increasing, the actual number it provides is pretty much useless
