This is cope, unless you pull sumo deadlift bars will add at most 30lbs, mixed grip won't add anymore weight than hook grip and neither will add 100lbs even if they did it is still your hip hinge strength being tested and they have a low learning curve. For sumo only some people get benefit from it, if not all powerlifter will pull that way, straps only add weight if your grip is weak compared to what you can pull and would add at most 50lbs.
