Shoulder burstitis

>get jumped on the way home from work by two tweakers, try to fight back but end up knocked unconscious
>Hospital says I have burstitis in shoulders, should clear up within a month
>It's been 5 months, still flairs up anytime I try to lift weights, I've lost all my gains ect and become quite depressed
>Doctor prescribes Prednisone, does nothing besides making me insanely horny
Please help me, lifting was my anti depressant/anchor

People are lifting sooner than that with arms/legs blown off, grow some balls and get over it, just don’t use that arm or some shit if it’s too painful, there are plenty of exercises you can do without an arm

I had same issue. Ditched all push lifts that use shoulder and deadlifts, stuck using machines and doing tons of pull/chin ups. Works okay.

Key is to max out unaided pull/chin ups, then engage assist at lowest weight until exhausted again, then increase weight assist.

I should add that it took me almost a year of doing no upper body at all until the swelling went down. This is my new routine. Try it to see if it doesn't hurt, and if it does then dial back and do a bunch of shoulder PT exercises with the cable machine. If it still doesn't stop hurting then you need a break for at least a few months.

Consider otter mode and/or a dexterity build (boxing, kickboxing, judo, uphill sprints) instead of sitting around waiting to heal. You can still do lower body and core using machines, go throw guys around and kick a bag until you can barely stand if all else fails.

Make sure to eat a small scoop of collagen powder before or after each workout, it aids healing since that's what joints (and almost everything else) are made of.

It will eventually heal, just switch priorities until then. And you could use some fight training.

Had shoulder bursitis. Shot of cortisol took worst burning pain away so I could start physiotherapy. Lots of RC stengthening and shoulder mobility excercises. Took 4 months to heal.

How did you go about getting the shot of cortisol? Could I buy it at the pharmacy with a script?

Get rings and just do support holds on them. Don't try anything else with the rings, just do holds for up to 60 seconds. Its good rehab for your shoulder.
