      What grinds my gears is that coconut oil isn't truly saturated fat. It's mostly MCTs that sneak into the classification with their :14 and :16 lengths.
      Butter has more saturated fats (ghee even more).

      Interesting to note that ray peat was a huge fan of coconut oil though. See a lot of people talking about coconut oil promoting fat loss a la croissant diet theory, thinking about trying it this upcoming year.

    What's the meaning and reason for all these terminologies and what do they all mean for the consumer, during their daily life?
    Say you eat a bowl of [saturated fat] versus a bowl of [polysaturated fat] versus a bowl of [monosaturated fatty acids] versus a bowl or [monosaturated fat] etc. etc. etc. What difference does it make?

      you can convince yourself why sneed oils are at the very least dubious with simple intuition: animal fat is easy to produce and understand because it's right there in the white streaks of your meat. in contrast, canola oil comes from a flower with no visible fat at all. if you extract the fat from a slab of meat vs a shitload of flowers, which option do you think is most likely to damage your body?

      he didnt do completely 180 on carnivore he is eating mostly meat+300g of carbs from fruits every day, his reasons is because after a while carnivores suffer from low t and the disadvantages surpass the advantages you get from carnivore after few months or a year when your hormones are more or less fixed after years of eating garbage diet and then going carnivore and going through healing process, basically from what he says meat+raw honey and fruits is ideal. but people should take into account that he was a marathon runner and low body fat with decent muscle mass most of his life so his body is able to deal with so much carbs from fruits and honey in a day

If you eat enough fat, magnesium, potassium, and sodium (you can just eat seafood or fermented dairy to meet your electrolyte requirements), your test will actually increase. The only problem with carnivore is that people should do the high fat, moderate protein version of it, and most people aren't.
