      Based

I have done that many times before.

I have two different alarm clocks. Both set up in different parts of the room so i have to get up. Plus I try to schedule out my sleep. Say I have to be at work for 7am
      >alarm goes of at 5am, get up turn on lights, open shades, walk to kitchen and drink some water or juice.
      >plan for 8 hours sleep so bedtime at 9pm
      >no tv or phone in bedroom.
This works more often than not for me. Once I get moving, it’s usually fine. Once I start playing the snooze and back to bed game I start getting physically and mentally wrecked.
Days off, what ever time I go to bed, I set an alarm for 10 hours after. Usually sleep around 8 hours, but I’m getting up without an alarm. It feels more refreshing

I’m gonna have to take that idea of setting the alarm later for days off to see if I can get myself to wake up on my own.

It is difficult, I often end up snoozing unless o have a real reason to be up and moving. It I absolutely need to be up, I will throw all the lights on and immediately try to either drink water or coffee and maybe step outside.

I slept in till 11:45 this morning and felt terrible about it but probably need the sleep. Gonna start putting my alarm across the room and willpower whipping myself not to go back to bed. So hard sometimes though, frick.

do y'all get wild ass lucid dreams when you snooze and manage to fall back asleep? and then the alarm goes off again and you snooze again and you keep having micro sleeps and getting sent back to the dream world?

shits kinda cool but it's making me late for work

Honestly can't remember the last time I had a dream. I basically vanish from reality when I'm asleep.

        same.
Only time I had vivid dreams they were like premonitions and gave me deja vu later.
        Really fricking weird.

    >pretty much leap out of bed after ~8 hours before 6am full of energy prior to my alarm even going off
    >get EXTREMELY tired around 7:30 to the point where I can sometimes barely keep my eyes open

Get one of those alarms that runs away when it goes off so you have to chase it.

I use an app called SleepCycle Alarm Clock - trolls your brain in thinking you've slept more than enough and wakes you up after a sleep cycle

I do exactly this, often for longer than 30 minutes
But it makes me late for stuff so I wish I didn't do it
I believe it's a side effect of the COVID lockdowns, my parents would try and wake me up somewhat early every day but I'd ignore them and go back to sleep until midday
need to start charging my phone on my desk on the other side of my room so I have to get up to turn off the alarm

    Get a kot.
Better yet, get two kots. This way you WILL get up to feed them and take care of them AND they won't be bored when you work/lift.
I have also noticed that, after I've decided to take responsibility for them, my lift improved more than I thought they would.

That's just the parasites trying to get you laid so that they can spread out further.

I've sort of leant into it these days. Even on days where I set no alarm, when I wake up I enjoy lying in bed for a little while. I honestly question whether it's even good for you to go from dead asleep to bolt upright and into your day within seconds.

I set my first alarm for 60 minutes before I actually need to be up (sometimes I skip this one if I need to maximise quality deep sleep), then 30, then 15, then 5. Instead of fighting against my alarms and going back to sleep, or fighting against sleep by trying to drag myself out of bed, all I aim to do is to consciously enjoy the sensation of being sleepy in bed. This actually means I stay awake for longer between alarms, because I'm enjoying myself, and that when I do actually get up it's a lot more relaxed.
By the time my 15 or 5 minute alarms go off, I'm usually pretty much awake already. When the 5 minute alarm goes off, my new goal is to just be sitting up/doing something (admittedly, usually scrolling my phone) to avoid the annoyance of my proper "okay actually get up now" alarm forcing me to rush out of bed if I fall back asleep, but since it's only 5 minutes this is very doable and helps ease me into being properly awake.

You probably aren't sleeping enough. I only snooze if I go to bed late and get less than 6 hours. If I go to bed early and get like 9 or ten then I'm up and feel great no need to snooze.

When the alarm goes off I slap myself in the testicles, this wakes me right up.
