Just eat what agrees with you and stop eating what doesn't. I'm not kidding, it's even in the Bible. Disregard carbs, fat, protein, calories, it's all bunk. Bunk that caused the obesity crisis of the last decades. And we won't be able to solve this crisis without doing away with all that shit.

      Fact:
      >Check out average daily calories, fat, protein, cab intake etc. by country
      >Compare to obesity rate by country
      >There is no overlap for any of it
Do it yourself, you'll be amazed.

makes sense to me. people who have lived in a region for tens of thousands of years have adapted to its local nutritional offerings, and most modern national dietary advice is created for these people who have existed there for so long and adapted. obviously this doesn't work when you allow "globalists" to compromised your nation and demographically replace you with tens of millions of foreigners who don't have the same dietary adaptations and requirements as you do, and "diversity" causes a huge clusterfrick in terms of trying to find good nutritional-- or really any-- advice due to the taboo of doing any actual research on it in terms of the very real differences between races.

Of course they don't. Eating a lot causes obesity. Those foods just happen to be calorie dense, nutrient poor, and not very satiating. Also loaded with other stuff which fricks up your body in other ways.

Why is it always some push to make up some random rule about food.

Obesity is caused by eating excess calories. This is an undeniable fact. But instead of admitting that they just keep coming up with increasingly bizarre rules like fat-free or low carb instead of just admitting people eat too much

      >Obesity is caused by eating excess calories. This is an undeniable fact.
Compare caloric intake and obesity rate by country, there is no overlap. Even if you include average physical activity. And let's not forget that obesity became untreatable since Puritan clean freak Atwater introduced the caloric system.

Consider that there is an army of food scientists and marketers who spend every waking moment trying to get you to make decisions that are not in your best interest.

The bliss point was a concept discovered decades ago, and all the mega corporations have been perfecting getting people to stuff their fat monkey faces so their brains will release just a bit more dopamine.

      https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bliss_point_(food)

I still think personal responsibility is something few “adults” take seriously so getting obese is a self inflicted wound. However, I work at a school and the number of kids I see who eat a bag of Takis and drink a coke for lunch is absurd. It’s no wonder so many people are fat. The game is rigged from the start.

ultra processed food is essentially pre digested food. the issue is that since it takes less time to digest, you get hungry faster, therefore you're more likely to eat more.
therefore, the article headline is not necessarily incorrect. ultra processed foods themselves do not MAKE you fat. it's the habits that eating them encourages

It's literally impossible to eat 10K without getting sick, without modern foods. And yes all fruits and vegetables sold in stores are processed foods, just not ultra processed. The standards for what is natural are so warped that people think that seeds engineered to have much higher sugar content and then grown covered in chemicals are somehow health foods.

All modern diseases are caused by people refusing to accept that we are supposed to eat meat. Not grains, not rice, not flour, not nuts, not fricking mangos, MEAT.

For the entirety of human history no one knew what a calorie was. They didn't have any concept of not eating too many calories, because they didn't need it. Animal foods allow for normal regulation of hunger and satiation hormones. You can eat until you're full and you will maintain a completely ideal body composition. This is how humans have lived for thousands of generations. Only in modern times do we have 90IQ "fitness" morons like you who think a calorie is a calorie and who have to consciously plan to not overeat because you're stupid to just eat the food you're supposed to eat, like every other species does instinctively.

its also been suggested we cant sustain ourselves without cooking our food, not enough nutrients for our power hungry brains. We moved past the point of conventional natural selection because of our ability to use tools and build fires. We can and have found ways to prepare, chew and digest foods of just about any kind even from other continents we were never adapted to consume. That itself isnt much of a support or discredit to any given theory.
Research did suggest that our hunter-gatherer ancestors were predominently hunters, But various neolithic sites also found shit like metric fricktons of shellfish shells and eggs being consumed and the shells discarded into giant piles so the idea that they just hunted animals like deer isnt entirely on point either.

Calling shit ultra-processed is probably like an astroturf operation of slop manufacturers.
If you're some organic clean foods autist it's somewhat plausible that you'd decide to make different categories for different levels of processed.
But even MORE plausible would be slop manufacturers want to market their less processed stuff as being at least comparatively healthy with something else.

someone with me, who professed to be an environmentalist, exclaimed at how wonderful the wind turbines were and how great it was that we had found a way to make natural land productive in a way which wouldn't pollute the landscape around it

A liberal Muslim homosexual ACLU lawyer professor and abortion doctor was teaching a class on Karl Marx, known atheist.
"Before the class begins, you must get on your knees and worship Marx and accept that he was the most highly-evolved being the world has ever known, even greater than Jesus Christ!"

At this moment, a brave, patriotic, pro-life Navy SEAL champion who had served 1500 tours of duty and understood the necessity of war and fully supported all military decision made by the United States stood up and held up a rock.

            "How old is this rock?"

The arrogant professor smirked quite israelily and smugly replied "4.6 billion years, you stupid Christian"

"Wrong. It’s been 5,000 years since God created it. If it was 4.6 billion years old and evolution, as you say, is real... then it should be an animal now"

The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his chalk and copy of Origin of the Species. He stormed out of the room crying those liberal crocodile tears. The same tears liberals cry for the "poor" (who today live in such luxury that most own refrigerators) when they jealously try to claw justly earned wealth from the deserving job creators. There is no doubt that at this point our professor, DeShawn Washington, wished he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and become more than a sophist liberal professor. He wished so much that he had a gun to shoot himself from embarrassment, but he himself had petitioned against them!

The students applauded and all registered Republican that day and accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. An eagle named "Small Government" flew into the room and perched atop the American Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The pledge of allegiance was read several times, and God himself showed up and enacted a flat tax rate across the country.
The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gay plague AIDS and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.

My favorite part is the <1g of sugar and containing sugar in the ingredient list.
Because the serving size is 28g and the way they regulate things you can have up to 1.2g per 28g of peanuts in there afaik even if they actually did test it which they probably don't.
That could be more than 4% added sugar.

    This doesn't disprove CICO.

      Anonymous

The author's whole argument is that CICO is the reason processed foods aren't linked to obesity. As in, 2000 calories of processed food won't make you gain any more weight than 2000 calories of organic food.

It's technically true in principle but incredibly disingenious. One of the major reasons people linked processed foods to obesity is because they often provide less nutritional value per calorie, meaning you have to eat more to get what you need and feel full. A lot of processed foods are also high in saturated fat and refined grains because they're tasty, but neither are filling and can lead to overeating

now a bunch of dumbasses are going to link to this author and go "see processed foods are just fine!" without critically thinking about it

        Anonymous

Processed foods are fine. I think you're talking about junk food like chips or whatever, but there is plenty of processed foods that will keep you satiated.
Can you even define “processed foods”?
