>just send your blood pressure, pulse, beats per minute, where you go, what you do, and when you sleep to a mega-corp that is in bed with the government bro, i'm sure they won't do anything insidious with it
Don't think anon has much to worry about unless he works for the CIA or something. Your phone does most of those things anyway (Location, cookies, tracking). Even if you turn it off its not really off (well you can't tell because you can't remove the battery anymore). You would have to put your phone in a Faraday bag.
dumb zoomers. Even if you have location turned off and install basically no apps on your phone. They still have mountains of data on you. They can literally tell when you have depression. They can sell your movement data to insurance companies who will in turn raise your car insurance rates (this is coming soon) because they know where you travel and how fast you go. The way these tech companies make money is by getting your data, because they then sell it to advertisers in a kind of target-marketing on steroids. Ads for lawn mowers during NFL games is baby toddler shit for these people these days. They literally know when you went hunting, and when you have depression, whatever and can sell you animal calls, orange carhearts, and depression drugs right on amazon. I see no point in the tech watches. Eat healthy, exercise, do some cardio, life a well ballanced life, drink some water, take a few good shits, have a social life, and get a yearly checkup at the doctor. Its not that fricking complicated.

>my sleep and shit
you don't need a chinkoid tracking device to track your shit, just take a picture of your turd every time you take a dump and make a turdlogbook. Also what does tracking you sleep give you? Those things aren't even accurate. Oh noes, my deep sleep was 4h and REM was 2, whatever will I do, oh the humanity. Just go to bed earlier. Literally pointless info.
It's solid. Just don't trust the calories burnt numbers. I changed over to Garmin last year so I could keep my watch offline and just download the data onto my PC with a cable like the schizo I am.
The venu, just because it's one of the nicer looking ones. It's helpful to track your lifts. After each set you just select your weight and reps. It auto detects reps and even the type of exercise you're doing. It's accurate about 80% of the time but I'm ocd about tracking and edit them manually. I think the Fitbit sleep tracking is better because my Garmin will list some time as sleep that I know I was awake, but everything else I prefer Garmin. Of course it won't make it break your lifting but it's nice long term info to have when you hit a plateau and you're wondering why.
I have a garmin watch and only use it for tracking runs and keeping track of time between sets in the gym. Can't be fricked wearing a watch to bed or in general. I have to take it off at the gym once I get a pump too cause the pressure on my wrist is annoying

>all this data and they can’t even market me anything I’m willing to buy
Sad
Schizo moment.
Also if you pay with card they can know all that without the need of a phone.

What model you got? Is it useful for weightlifting?

I used to have a Fitbit Versa 2 btw. Having to pay a subscription to turn on features turned me away from Fitbit.
The sleep tracking is fricking trash. It's only good for heart rate and telling the time. Get it on sale.
Lol just lol if you’re using a clitbit instead of a Garmin Fenix
Guess you don’t ski, swim, trail run, hike, camp, cycle, triathlon, or compete much huh anon?
