      Pudz really was special because he was an actual athlete. Most strongman are just strong. They can't use their strength in a movement based activity.

      Pudz is very fast, especially for someone his size. He also has pretty good cardio. He ended up being a decent journeyman in KSW which is the best MMA promotion in Europe.

      I actually saw him get smoked by Tim Sylvia at a one off event called Moosin. But to be fair Timmy was still a world class fighter at the time and Pudz was brand new. That was also the coming out for Rafael Natal.

        Strict ohp has a come down part, however if you want aesthetics do seated ohps. Shits great, also do lateral bear crawls, it will work on muscles that you rarely use, you can just do two full steps to left then back and reset. Works your whole body on top.

        yeah i just like to hold the db with one arm and bent to the side spine and there internally rotate shoulder

        if u do so and place other hand on working shoulder u will discover that as u straighten elbow completely and internally rotate shoulder up there ur anterior delt goes soft and medial delt goes hard, i'm after medial delt only with it, it works wonderfully

        it's good to have extended thoracic also while doing it

        specifically sore side delt
        for rear delt u do back raise - 8th minute:

        I have no doubt that you feel it when you do these but they're not gonna grow from it. You will grow by progressing an ohp by 50lbs. Isolating the muscle is pointless if it stops you from using it hard enough.

      Standing OHP kinda sucks, there's too much leg drive and momentum involved, the chance of things going wrong is too high. Seated is superior unless you're an Olympic Weightlifter.

        ohp is not a push press
        there is 0 leg drive in an OHP. the momentum is generated from moving the weight, so that's not an issue either. the major issue with standing OHP is core stability and it eventually turning into a standing incline press if the core isn't kept in check

            Being more athletic, rather than just making your numbers go up in Squat bench and deadlift.

            People can tell when someone is athletic, no one can tell that you bench 295. Even if they do they don't care.

            Being athletic means you can fight, you can show up to a random pickup basketball game or soccer match and be decently good without having played before.
