        trap bar is superior to conventional deadlift, as it's a more compound movement, which involves quads to a non-negligible extent and is more biomechanically efficient and doesn't waste any force production on bringing the weight to the center of gravity etc., not to mention the awkward exercise ITT

                You can go incredibly heavy with zercher deadlifts and squats and allow for greater range of motion, you're just concerned with heavy loading because you're a powershitter.

                Trap bar is not going to do this you monkey. Do low bar squats or sumo deadlift to overload the whole lower body with heavy amounts of weight if that's your concern.

                no shit, but the thread was about the exercise for the lower body. and SLDL hits the hamstrings even more effectively, so that's what what would be one of my picks for the main exercise when training the posterior chain alone, with front or highbar squat for the quad workout
