    I tried squatting every day in college (this was back in like 2014 classic squatz n oatz IST days) and ended up pulling something in my back, really put mr out of commission hard and it was like 2 whole years before I fully recovered.

    That was back when I thought AtG was hardcore but now I know that very slightly below parallel is not only safer but also harder and works more muscles.

      Yup ATG creates buttwink and un-straightens your spine especially if you're tall. You don't want your spine wiggling around if there's a heavy weight resting on it. I'm a manlet so I can squat deep but people with long legs have different proportions and ranges of motion.
