        To the obesity epidemic.

Eat whole, unprocessed plant foods with plenty of starch included.

And eggs and milk and chiggen breast so I can build muscle.

the very small amounts of fat in chicken breast are heavily skewed towards PUFA over saturated fat. imo its better to eat lean ground beef and supplement the rest of your protein with whey and eggs if you can afford it

it's more for health in general, that's why i personally prefer it. of course it doesn't impact muscle growth as long as you're getting enough protein and i never claimed that.

i used to only have energy for 3-4 hours out of the entire day, and found out that cuttiing out all PUFA from my diet fixes this issue and i now have consistent energy throughout the day, which does help with my workouts as well.

                >inb4 non-grassfed beef has pufa because of what they feed the cows
ruminants are somehow able to maintain high levels of saturated fat despite their diet, and the pufa percentage in grass-fed beef is very minimally different than regular beef.

Then why do you need saturated fat?

Satiation + omega 3s. The omega 3 profile of tree nuts are abysmal compared to just eating a salmon filet.

There's no omega 3 in saturated fat

your body needs a small amount of fat to produce the right balance of hormones.

even if i'm eating a small amount of fat i'd rather it be saturated than PUFA

Name 1 study that shows saturated fat is healthier than PUFA.

If you guys actually cared about health you would be eating only fish.

the thing that peatschizos and ketogays got wrong is that they think that all PUFAs are bad even though omega 3 and some omega 6 are actually good, they think that because linoleic acid is bad for you (well they're correct) then all PUFAs are automatically bad in their eyes.

McDougall is my hero. He made weight loss easy. He finally made it all make sense. I tried plant based eating before and failed because I couldn't keep fresh green veggies stocked. The secret was a STARCH BASED diet. Thank you! Thank you so much!
