Steroids: Unfair Advantage or Level Playing Field?

Let's dig into the dark side of IST, friends. Steroids. Is it really "cheating," or is it just leveling the playing field? After all, isn't fitness about pushing our bodies to their limits?

On the flip side, aren't we just lying to ourselves by taking a shortcut to gains? Where do we draw the line between hard work and enhancement?

And what about those who use them for competitive sports? Do they deserve their wins?

There’s pros and cons to everything and if you don’t take the roid pill, you need to find a new hobby after 3 years of gymming

You can only cheat if you break the rules and there are no rules here. What rule says you can't take steroids but you can do loads of reps and take creatine?

It's cheating and it's also pathetic when people roid for natty bodies. Only makes sense if you surpass the natty limit which 99% of roiders don't

I hate them because you're killing yourself. Age you, risk infertility, and will break you when you off cycle and you see loss, prompting you to forever cycle.

Not to mention the more guys that do them, it becomes the norm. So every guy will have to do them. Then you're all the same. So then what?

Those that want to be big and stand out must go more and more extreme.

It's just totally toxic and the dumbest path to go down.

Often it's for women, and what do women have to do? Frick all. Just not be obese. Equality my fricking ass.

Steroids are a substitute for hard work.
You can be on the broest brosplit doing meme exercises with the shittest of forms and eat junk food, and you'll still get big (no matter what you do/eat).
You gain a huge % increase in muscle gain, recovery and stamina, they also increase the fat burn.

That being said - everything comes at a price. Once you get off roids, you deflate within a few months back to where you started.
Not only do you deflate to your initial DYEL stage, you become EVEN MORE DYEL since every cycle fricks up your natty test production forever.
It an endless cycle where roidtrannies deflate, jump on the needle, deflate, etc. Those who choose to stay permanently on roids eventually and inevitably develop health complications.
Remember - natties keep their gains for life.

Just like harassment and a women liking it, the difference is an ugly vs good looking dude.

Same here. Ugly dudes just scream insecurity when they look like that. And that would be right.

sigh. i have a feeling i would get addicted to the mental side of doing a cycle and never getting off. people say they wake up feeling energetic and can crush their workouts, it sounds too good to be true. i also don’t want to go bald or decrease my lifespan. i’ve been lifting for 3 years and still look like shit and depressed. it’s not that i want it to be easy but damn it would be nice to have a little cheat code.

i’ll be getting my test levels checked and go from there.

Change your routine. Do you? People get stuck in the same lifting cycle. Try high intensity training to even contacting the muscles with light weights. I work hard and never grew at one point, so I did the old time training, tiny weight while contacting the muscle, felt like a waste of time, and was hard to break the regular workout schedule, but 6 weeks on and I gained half an inch on the arms. The fastest growth I have ever had.

I have tried PPL, brosplit, Upper/lower and full body workouts.

My diet is good, not perfect but good. Good macros. I tried progressive overload yet every time I would fail my lifts despite gaining weight. After deloading I would try again and simply plateau at the same weight. It was extremely demotivating and now I don’t even track my lifts anymore because i wasn’t getting stronger.

I will look into the low weight training. I have the discipline in me to give a proper schedule a chance again, i’ll need to figure out what exactly and give it a final shot.

I used pic related. If anything, you will develop a greater mind to muscle connection. A thing most people blasting music in the gym forget about, and yet for some people very important.

Also eccentric contraction of the muscle is super important. I will curl in 1 second, and take 3 to lower the weight.

There is a 50% chance that you are using the word progressive overload to refer to linear progression.

What exactly did you do during your progressive overload? How much weight did you try to add, and how frequently?

You will never be a natty. You have no drive, you are a cheater, you have no genetics. You are a roidtroony twisted by needles and vials into a crude mockery of natures perfection.

All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Gymgoers are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “gymbros” laugh at your ghoulish appearance behind closed doors.

Men are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even roiders who dont have gyno look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your bone structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to put on some muscle it all going to come off once you stop pinning your needles.

You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.

Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury you with a headstone marked with your steroids, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a roidtrany is buried there. Your body will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a skeleton that is unmistakably natural.

This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

It's completely necessary to surpass 25ffmi. It makes sitting at 23-25ffmi easier but you pay for it with the hassle of roiding. It won't take you anywhere you don't already know how to go. We live in a just world whether you believe it or not.

Maybe. But history only covers the last ~5k years when most men have been farm cattle.

Humans in their natural habitat - hunting and gathering - don't look like that. DYELs? Absolutely. Skinnyfat? Never.

I strongly agree. The pic from 100 years ago was after the start of eating all the processed junk like bread, cakes, alcohol, biscuits.

This all said for completely average men when age is taken into account pretty sure they beat the pants off the modern average.

Now let's see a bunch of farmers or labourers from that time and not individuals who never undertook any strength exercises other than pushing the odd piece of furniture or carrying a few books. Maybe a bit of cricket or hunting.

However I wouldn't say those guys look dyel at all. They look like they lift. They don't lift, but clearly whatever they're doing involves strength and builds their muscles, their testosterone would also be a lot higher than modern man.

They look essentially like perfect specimens of a human male - and what else would be expected considering they are living in an environment they are perfectly well adapted for. Everything else is body dysmorphia and conditioning.

Unfair advantage in what? Life isn't a competition 99% of the time. Nornal people don't think about mugging eachother. Nobody cares how much you bench outside of being juat basically strong. Sure sometimes people mire and women like bug muscles but for the vast majority of your day it makes literally 0 difference. Its not cheating because nobody else is fricking playing against you. Unless you're an athlete in which case you are cheating and you are a homosexual.

It's not "cheating" really, it's just stupid to make your body become dependant on them to function and if you ever quit for some reason you crash below sedentary natties.
