Same here, I don't even care about the caffeine. I just like the taste. In fact I was drinking decaf only for a while until I found out about the bad chemicals they use to decaffeinate

excessive caffeine intake influences vitamin D levels.
      are you excessive intake?
      If no, move on.
Two cups of coffee a day isn't going to change your vitamin D levels. it has a half life of only 6 hours and a full cup of coffee is not even enough to cause caffeine saturation.
It takes 4 cups to begin to reach bodily saturation (400mg of caffeine is where almost all cells are influenced by the caffeine).
At two cups of coffee, over half your cells would be able to express themselves with plentiful vitamin D sources at any given moment and as the influence of caffeine wears off the other half would express themselves later.
At 4 cups you could arguably have a cell that is blocked for an entire 24 hours depending on when you drank the cups of coffee, but even that is not likely.

if i put milk in my coffee then i'm getting calcium which cancels out any potential harm to my bones. the milk from the supermarket has added vitamin D too so that resolves both issues.

one of the best habits i developed in my life was drinking coffee only on saturday and sunday.

that way you keep your tolerance low and you connect the smell of coffee with the weekend. its great

coffee dehydrates you, and dehydration kills. so if you drink coffee you gotta make sure to rehydrate

I've been off coffee (and all caffeine) for over a month now.
    Benefits:
    >Less anxious
    >Sleep better
    >Feel more calm and collected
    >Even mood and energy throughout the day
    >Think better and more coherently (less scatterbrained)
    >No more heart palpitations (common for me on caffeine) and acid reflux (was rare, but still)
    Cons:
    >Less motivated to do stuff
    >Some days I have low-key lethargy all day (nothing too bad tho)
    >Miss the taste
    >Miss the "manic" hyperfocus mode when coding
    >While my mood is more even now, I miss the highs of being on caffeine
I'm considering having some coffee tomorrow, should I do it anons?

No, keep with giving it up, Coffee is a crutch for people who don't know how to manage their time. Literally sleep more if you're tired. Coffee is for women, that's why gays like picrel exist to try and show how "manly" their coffee is. It's why women are the ones saying "Don't even TALK to me until I've had my coffee".
Ignore the addicts, addicts always want more people in their addiction so they feel like it's normal. Man lived for thousands of years, waking up in the morning and being physical without needing a mug of coffee before getting going. It takes a strong will to leave it behind, but it will make you a mentally stronger man in the long run.

lol nope. stop being cheesy. it just makes you free from addiction to caffeine and feel better. more present, less in head. feelings get deeper. but le stronker? its not even hard to quit.

A mind that is free from addiction is stronger than a mind that is addicted. If it's not hard to quit, you wouldn't see so many coffeecopers

I’m working on quitting caffeine. I only drink energy drinks but it started with coffee. I’ve done everything to fix my brain and health except quit the one thing that started all my brain fog, anxiety, paranoia, high HR, shitty sleep, appetite issues, stomach problems, shit issues, focus and attention span issues, etc.
    I gotta quit.

Never broken a bone but I got very strong bones, the caffeine makes me walk around confused and alone

I remember back in like 2001 there was some health advice by doctors who claimed milk was taking vitamin D away from you.
Ever since then I always thought doctors were moronic when it came to fitness. Same with nutritionist
