Hi guys. How much Ashwaganda and Tongkat Ali should I take, and what's a good but not crazy expensive brand? Is Nature Made fine?
I also would like something for mental focus if anyone knows anything good... Lions Mane maybe? Dunno what dosage though. Currently I can focus on studying about 3 hours a day but I really need to get that up over 6 and ideally closer to 12 so I can fix my life in a year...

3rd party scientists. It always raises test by 50-200mg in the test subjects. The only criticism of this I hear in threads is that it is not enough to make a difference and "just pin bro." Not everyone wants to pin. Some people would be ok with a small boost, and I don't see how 100 extra test would not be noticible.
Ng/dl not MG. And that increase will have zero noticeable impact on gains. An increase of 2000ng/dl would impact gains but can't be obtained without pinning.

Ashweganda isn't for raising test. It's for lowering cortisol. It's not bad for you and really just makes you respond to stress better.
Lowering cortisol can lead to higher test if you train heavy at volume
That said, rhodiola and panax ginseng are better than Ashwa because they work right away without building up in your system
I hit 274lbs @ 6'4 @ 8% bf in 2018 and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gotten there without panax ginseng and rhodiola

If you actually lift heavy at volume and *DON'T* do marijuana you should also supp rhodiola and/or panax ginseng.
Take rhodiola when you're super stressed, ginseng when you're mildly stressed
Fenugreek is the only herbal supplement shown to increase testosterone without any extra steps so if you think you need a bump, take that.
It's wayyyyy more important to lift heavy (<8 reps to failure) at volume (5+ sets) at frequency (hit everything every 3 days) and eat plenty of fat, carbs and not too much protein (0.8g/lb of lean body mass) than it is to take meme supps. Eating adequate fat (which is a lot) and dumping powdered protein garbage will boost your test way more than any supp
It can, but the increase in test isn't really meaningful for gains. The drop in cortisol is good for qualify of life though.

You have to actually fully quit and then get back on. With the foreknowledge of whats to come if you dont watch yourself its much easier to limit. I quit and didnt smoke a cigarette for 3 years and bought a pack. Smoked like 5 over the course of a month. Lost the pack. Aint had one for a few months now.

I didn't feel really anything on 600mg a day of Ashwagandha. I DO think Tongkat Ali at 1g a day DOES do something to be honest. I got on fin, got fin dick and after a week and a half of 1g of Tongkat I strated waking up with morning wood and honestly my errection looked, felt and seemed bigger and longer.

Ashwaganda - did ksm66, I think it miiight increase libido a little bit, and the dreams are somewhat more vivid and easier to remember. No noticeable effect on gains.
Tongkat ali - taking 0.5g of extract twice a day for about 3 weeks now. No noticeable effects on anything really.
I’d credit Ashwagandha for helping me get from beginner gains to intermediate more quickly than I would have without it. 600 mgs a day for like 6 months.
I grew a 5 ashwaganda plants in pots in a greenhouse in zone 4.

Thought that too but i wanted to take both zinc and magnesium and if I were to get two different supps of good quality they would cost more than just the ZMA.
Plus ZMA the zinc/magnesium is chelated with aspartate (Aspartic acid) which is hard to find as a stand alone zinc or magnesium supplement.
Yeah but you need to see how much zinc and mag are in the ZNA by mg. Often the combined pills don't have much.
ZMA is standard at 30mg of zinc and 450mg magnesium but I don't know if that's the element weight or the weight of it chelated so you got me idk.
Dishonestly I don't know that I find any benefit from ashwa. MAYBE improved sleep quality? Maybe? Took it for like a month and found no real benefit.
Haven't tried tongkat. I hear it's good stuff but who knows. All these companies can have next to none of the ingredient in the supplements they're providing so you never know how much you're getting.
