I'm 18, obviously a homosexual, etc. etc. May or may not find myself at an unironic dungeon party in the coming months and I'm taking that as a sign that I might as well get a bit more fit and look physically attractive.
I've been doing intermittent fasting (Usually OMAD, sometimes days with snacks in them) for about a year now, and have cut down from ~200lbs to ~145lbs. Although exercise was common in the first half of 2022, it fell off by the summer.
Now I'm trying to kickstart being physically fit again, and trying to generally appear as a kinda soft... y'know... twinky type of guy. At least to the best of my abilities.
I currently have a regiment I'm planning to perform every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, which comprises of pushups, squats, and situps. Every two weeks, I increase the reps and occasionally the sets. Current it's
>3 sets of 4 pushups
>4 sets of 4 squats
>2 sets of 4 situps
Hilariously enough, it's generally a modest workout for me. Obviously it'll increase with time, but do you think it'd generally help me achieve my vague appearance goals?

      Yeap well shit, its enough for me. Only god knows why my ratio of muscle mass to actual strength is so janked to the point where I have the strength of a plastic skeleton despite looking under aversge.
      Either or, I take that as a sign towards "Ensure you maintain the regiment, and don't be afraid to increase the intensity by a decent margin at any point." That correct?

        The intensity should go up by about 400%. I refuse to believe that an adult man will struggle with sets of 4 on squats. I started training when I was 14 and I was hilariously weak and unathletic, but I could still do 5 pushups (which became 15 pushups in a month lol), 15 situps and 25+ squats no problem.

        Besides this you'd have to do more stuff than this anyway if you did harder variations because you're doing nothing for your back and posterior chain, which can lead to imbalances. Plus no isolation means torso dominance in most cases which looks like shit

        Its basically one type of isometrics (idk what tho) using the resistance of your own muscles being flexed.

        This method make you more connected with your muscles (Neuro muscular speaking) this obviously makes you more stronger because you lift with more muscular fibers

        Also muscle control by maxick makes you more muscle concient, you will flex muscle you dont know you have and you can flex. This method could help you too for example in bench, when you do the movement you relax the antagonic muscles that dont help you in the movement, when you ohp you relax the antagonic muscles that dont help in you in the lift, and you flex the muscle that they help. So basically is that

    Calisthenics are great and all but those rep counts are really low. Are you sure you're getting strained to your absolute limit from that? I know push-ups can be hard starting from practically nothing but you should really be doing like 8 at a time, not 4.
