Isn't the discrepancy between muscular and tendon strength mostly a problem that affects PED users?

No, it's also caused by shitty gentics

I doubt half the issues that are dubbed "genetic" are actually 100% inffluenced by genetics. Also
        all swedes are cucks.

Pretty sure the #1 affected are newbies training too hard and too much, snapping their shit up

nah, baseline tendons and joints can cope very well with newb weights and gains. it's only gays on gear who have this problem. (also people who take statins because their ~~*doc*~~ told them to)

Have this too, 1.5 years training on and off, just get 80kg bench and a lot of gains because a more constant training and my joints hurt, I had to let them rest for 4 days, in 10 minutes I go to the gym again

I get tendonitis when I jerk off too much and play too much Vermintide 2. Otherwise I'm fine.

Heavy beaching too often fricked my elbow tendon. 3 months of none benching but a lot of dips instead. That was 2 years ago.

    Just remember to rest

same. I don't know if it's tendonitis, but I recently tried working out again after a 7 month hiatus and ended up doing way too much volume on pullups and barbell rows. this was 5 days ago and my biceps tendons still hurt like a motherfricker. I'm scared to fully extend my arms because it feels like I'm going to snap my shit if I do.

As far as I know, tendonitis is gradual process of fricking up your tendons.
      You probably pulled a muscle.
Go and get it checked, but the usual healing process is going back to the gym, and doing the same exercises that fricked you up but with way less volume/weight, gradually coming back to your current levels
      t. did too much dips, hurted much, asked physio and he told me it was very likely a pulled muscle

    >tfw got pretty bad bicep tendonitis after doing 3x5 weighted chins + 8 sets of bicep curls.
Is it better to spread those curls out on different days instead?

Been there roundabout 15 years ago, anon. I'm a chicken that's y I still live. Nowadays I regret not to kill myself. Would have saved me from a lot of trauma-shit and trouble. On the other hand I wanna frick every up and make a great life with beautiful body, much money etc.

Tendon and joint problems seem common among some fitness noobs. Their enthusiasm becomes stronger than their sedentary habits made their body, and they start breaking when they go full fitness autist. I've seen it more than once.

Sedentary lifestyles do so much damage. Take it slow when you get back to lifting, but be consistent. Over weeks, months and years. Don't be afraid to do something different if you're injured.
I remember reading one lifter did fifty pull ups before any workout, and there's guys in this thread saying lower volume than that destroyed them. You guys can make it, just can't change it overnight.

Buy ito green tea. It has vitamin C in it and tea is a natural antioxidant.
Drink a small amount every single hour.

Note that tendonitis is almost always a posture issue where you are putting excess strain on a tendon due to shitty mechanical efficiency.
If you want to fix long term tendonitis you either.
    1. Stop being a moron and forcing movements.
    2. Fix posture so movements are easier.
Either way it equates to stop fricking causing the problem. You ego lifting is not worth your time.
Because eventually you'll just be out of lifting entirely.

Lol frick off, “wahhh my joints hurt if I strain them with hundreds of pounds of weights every day forever”
There is a disease where your immune system straight up attacks and destroys all the cartilage in your body for no reason until your ears and face are deformed and it fricks your heart up so badly that you die.
Even aside from that, the tendon pains from new long-distance runs on concrete are worse than any lifting strain, and even then, you just need to wear a brace and rest for a few days.
    Stop being a whiny homosexuale.

Everytime I restart training I might get some tendon burning flare up. I recall when I started an office job/exams, I got tendonitis from typing a shit ton. In this instance:
-rest and ice in the initial stage to reduce the inflammation.
-once inflammation is reduced enough, you can start training again.
-IF HOWEVER IT IS CHRONIC. Rest won't be enough and you will also need to slowly start training it. For example with forearms tendonitis I did wrist curls, reverse wrist curls etc. And that will slowly strengthen the areas muscles and tendons.
Tendonitis can also be caused by the muscle being overworked, not relaxing enough (take magnesium). Or by opposing muscles being imbalanced.

So tldr: if CHRONIC, slowly train them and strengthen them. If not chronic it's important not to make it chronic. Chronic tendonitis sucks as it'll never fully go away.

      Magnesium.
9/10 times you have a magnesium deficiency. Drinking depletes it.
I used to have an alcoholic doctor friend that would complain about extreme Charlie horses. I kept telling him magnesium, but he was too assblasted about a non-doctor loser telling him anything vaguely medical to listen. Wound up snapping his Achilles’ tendon. Number one risk factor for that specific problem? Magnesium deficiency.
      Alkies. Need. Magnesium.

I misread dunking as drinking, but my point still stands.
