Are you really going to tell me that ADHD doesn't exist?
          C'mon man.

go to the doctor homie, when I ran marathons i bottomed out around 40, which is normal for runners, but i used to get lightheaded standing up when it was that low. You probably have bradycardia.

I also run a good bit and I don't get lightheaded standing up at all.
Maybe you were low iron / electrolytes?
How did you fix your symptoms?

          >resting heart rate 37
is that too low? idk. you are gonna die so much later than me it’s unreal. i never do cardio and am on gear and having a 70 resting heart rate lol

Dude that's a bit high... why don't you do some cardio? Doesn't have to be running, could just be elliptical or incline walking.
Seriously man, don't neglect cardio especially if you're on gear.

and so you are balding, depressed, etc?

          None of the above!

I'm pretty sure I do. But I'm not good at social interaction so they focus on treating anxiety instead of my very apparent attention issues. It's bad enough that I am failing in literally every metric imaginable. Dropped out of high school, didn't do much college, haven't worked even part time in over two years, and my current plan of learning programming gets derailed purely by ADHD-like symptoms

Holy cow man you're in trouble. Low heartrate means low metabolism. You need to cool it on the stress and get some sugar and aspirin in you before you literally die. I'm dead serious, a heartrate that low is very dangerous for longer periods of time (cancer, mainly). You should aim for 80-90 thats probably optimal human beings. Are you starving yourself? Low carb diet?

      Anonymous

I got my fitness watch in 2019, and it's been steadily reading the same RHR.
I eat a lot of carbs, don't starve myself either.

With a heartrate like that you might have hypothyroidism, another indicator of that is a low temperature (say significantly below 36.5C in the morning).

              Anonymous

Not him, but my normal body temperature during the day is 36.1C. Higher chance of measuring 35.0C - 35.9C in the morning/before bed than over that.

              Is that bad?

                Anonymous

Yeah thats not good. 37C or slightly above is likely what you would want. You can raise it by raising your metabolism. Other bad signs in the situation would be peeing often, lightheadedness when lifting, low apetite. A lot of people here lower wreck their metabolism by doing the cut/bulk cycle natty.

Do that. Your situation seems quite strange, maybe it's the medication making your heart act up, but 70bmp would really be towards the lower end of healthy. A lower heart-rate is really just an adaptation to stress. Beginner runners, for example, will experience a sharp drop in heart-rate during the first months of training. But if they stop training it will just as quickly go back to normal. Endurance athletes that train all their life can have a "chronically" low heart-rate, which basically means they've done some permanent damage to their system. And of course they never end up living very long. I myself have increased my resting heartrate from the 50s to 80s over the last few years, and the general improvement in quality of life can scarcely be exaggerated. I think a healty resting heart-rate in a non-overweight adult male is probably around 90 bpm.

You may see studies that portray athletes as generally healthier than non-athletes, drawing from this the conclusion that endurance exercise is healthy. This is only true because athletes aren't fat; if you compare athletes to non-overweight people, that are at a vastly higher risk of an early death.

Probably not directly, but it is among other things a powerful appetite suppressor. Not eating enough for long periods of time would certainly lower your heart-rate. Amphetamines also generally boost you metabolism temporarily, but tend to exhibit strong estrogenic effects in long term use , which would also lower heart-rate. Amphetamines also raise serotonin is has a whole batch of issues, heart-rate probably one of them. Taking amphetamines also activates catabolic stress hormones, which is what happens when you go for a long distance run. You might be giving your heart both chemical and physiological "work-outs", which could lead it to adapt to large amounts of strees. That would be concerning. Take that with a grain of salt as I'm not your doctor.

I am saying long term use could damage the heart. Which could lower heart-rate. You are a poor reader.

I'm sorry but the medical science is not on your side with that sort of take. Damage your heart? I completely agree. Lower it? No. It's a stimulant.

      Anonymous

Bullshit, you're right that 30s are worryingly low but in highschool I had a RHR in the 40s-low 50s with such a gentle heartbeat some machines would frequently fail to pick it up, and I was the healthiest feeling I've ever been or could imagine a human being. I ran a bit but I was also lifting and putting on muscle more than ever at that time. A low heart rate indicates low cardiovascular stress, likely due to an efficient heart and/or a lack of taxing amounts of tissue like fat. 80-90 is pretty terrible tbh, mine has gone up to the low 70s now during periods of really bad stress and every period in which I am doing better my heart rate tends to be lower. You want your heart to be under as little chronic strain as possible, because it starts to sacrifice future health to deal with the current strain if it gets past the point it can deal with it.

Might just have chad heart genetics. I was hitting low 30s when I was a run/gay/ (2:45 marathon, nothing to brag about but still decent). Maybe lower since the watch didnt register at that point and it was unreliable just feeling the pulse. Still alive to this day some 10 years being a lazy ass later. Now i'm like high 40s low 50s resting.

im almost certain my "adderall" is very small amounts of pressed meth.

i have basically no amphetamine tolerance so its possible its just regular adderall but 30 mins after taking it (30mg IR) i get in a stupidly good mood and just want to talk to everybody and can follow thoughts through and have great discipline and focus and actually WANT to do stuff. the good mood and sociability and euphorua only lasts for like 3-5 hours but the focus, drive, and energy last for like fricking 12-16.

and the shit keeps me very unnaturally awake. for a long ass time. even if im not "feeling" the effects as strongly anymore im still not sleeping.
