Thank you to the anon who suggested making fisherman's eggs. I just did and it was really good.

Be sure to season your sardines though. I put pepper, worcester sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Pickled onions too, if you have em.

buy some kind of flat top griddle for your cooktop. Then buy the largest deepest stainless steel bowl you can find (typically used for mixing ingredients) and you can rest it on top of cooking food to create and oven type effect. Like what fry cooks do for burgers

          >fry cooks do for burgers
What's this mean? Also for fisherman's eggs, OP should have mentioned using garlic, dill, shallots, etc which all add texture and flavour. I might add fried tomatoes , we'll see tomorrow morning

You can easily do it with a pan, homosexual. But you're the sort of homosexual who only makes excuses and invents reasons not to do something, i.e. a fricking loser, so you will never achieve anything in your moronic life.

I use a can of tuna instead and fry it up in a pan, wait 2 mins, spread tuna around so its flat & across the pan and then crack the eggs on top and make like a pancake. Same thing & tasty

Buy an instant pot. $100, cook anything you want. You can even bake a cake in that thing.

Instant pot make god tier potatoes. Just cut a x shape in the middle of the potato and pressure cook for ~17 minutes with a little water in the bottom under the rack thing.

What are the best sardines to buy without spines?

      The cheapest you can find

      >without spines
Someone clearly has a preference for fish what remind him of himself. Don't be a pussy bro, the spines are full of calcium and so soft you don't even notice them.

Nuri is king; season and king oscar both have solid boneless sardine/mackerel offerings if bones/the spine seriously wigs you out that much.

But seriously, Nuri spiced in olive oil is pure canned deliciousness; literally better than some of the sex I've had. Don't sleep on the Portuguese deenz, brah.

I did mine in an air fryer. An air fryer is just a tiny oven, after all.

I mean the recipe literally says "seasonings and whatever"
A mistake a lot of decent cooks make is assuming that other people know how to season. I found this when I was giving healthy cooking advice to my friends. So often conversations would go
      >"and then add some seasoning"
      "like what? salt?"
      >"yeah and whatever other stuff you like, depends what meat you're using"
      "what other stuff?"

Just fish & eggs? I feel like it needs more stuff in it. Maybe a vegetable, like onions? Or chopped pickles as a garnish? Or both? Maybe some vinegar? Maybe oil? But that's like all the ingredients of tartar sauce.

What I added in the op tasted good. Regular onions would work if you don't have pickled onions. Melting cheese on top might also be good; I'd probably go with swiss / provolone or something like that.

Shit. That sounds fricking delicious. I guess I know what I'm eating after my next fast now. I think I'll pan fry the eggs though. an maybe the fish. Wait, the asian grocery has frozen fresh sardines, I could pan fry the shit out of them...
