There was some Zoomie reading between sets at my gym once. He was wearing a university shirt, so I thought maybe he was studying between sets, and I thought that was pretty cool. Then, I got closer and realized he was reading fantasy garbage by Tolkien and secretly laughed in my head at the fool.

I listen to Spanish podcasts and read Spanish E-books between sets. I sometimes even autistically read out loud to improve my accent

Total posturing. The fact that he brought a physical book, not an efficient ebook which is more portable and practical, is a means of showing off. Hell, you can read shit on your phone and no one would be the wiser.
He had to choose a meme philosophy book to make him look ISTlit/, yet he's there with a 1pl8 hexbar set up in the fricking squat rack. Peak reddit.

They make e-readers with low light, high contrast displays to simulate paper. I've had one of those Kindle paperwhites for about 9 years now and it still holds up perfect.

This. I don't knock the concept of reading and lifting, but his execution in both is for internet points I'm sure.
