Grain brains still haven’t come up with a single reason to eat processed rice over a steak. The only reason anyone would ever eat their calories in fricking rice over a ribeye is cause they’re poor.

Here's a reason: Carbs taste good

They're also are a good source of energy, a steak only diet would force the body to convert proteins to glucose first which is nowhere as straightforward as from carbs

And even something as lame as white rice contains useful micronutrients.

structure is something that helps people lose weight. It's not that you can't lose weight by just counting calories its more about changing something significant in your life.
      Rules be like that sometimes.

Easily 2000 cals & 150+ g of protein a day, it's not a weight loss diet, more like a recomposition diet.

You don't need a diet to get 150g of protein without going over your daily expenditure

Adding fat is easy, just add a tbsp of olive oil to your rice, or drink whole milk instead of skim. That sample diet is just 1500 calories, that leaves quite a lot of room to play with

a pound of pasta is like 1600 calories by itself, how the frick is that a diet? The meat would easily vary massively between fish and beef. That's an awful idea for a diet which probably means it'll be the next fad.

  15. 1 year ago

Why would this be the best diet? Does it seem more correct because it's easy to explain? Is the fact that it sounds simple make you think it must be easier to follow?

      Anonymous

Easy to explain also means simple to reason about. Not too many variables in the equation, so to speak.

Also only 3 ingredients makes for extremely easy shopping and prepping.

It needs some restrictions on shit like cheesey poofs and snacky cakes, but it's better than most of the moronic meme diets (eg vegan and carnivore) that are constantly shilled online.

To be fair i eat pretty much this on OMAD, sub 1 lb of carbs with one sweet potato

Replace the 1 lb vegetables with fruit and 1 lb carbs with another liter of milk on non-lifting days. Vegetables and grains are full of anti-nutrients. You should eat small amounts of them only rarely to induce hormesis.

  20. 1 year ago
    Anonymous

Not the worst idea in the world. Not really the most logical either but if you stick to that it would probably work based on those nutrition facts. Doesn’t add up though, a steak would have more than 17 grams of fat, much less when you add milk to the equation unless it’s skim

      >picrel
That is an incredible underestimate of the saturated fat and cholesterol. If you think that’s a bad thing anyway.

Lean beef has very little fat and not that much cholesterol. 1 l of skim milk has like 1 g of fat.

I think that people who think of the solution to fitness being a special diet instead of working out are idiots.
This isn't a religion. You don't need food taboos. You understand how macris work, right? So just fricking try to stick to something optimal and work out.
Our society is so obsessed with consumption that people can only think in terms of consumption. "What do I need to eat to do lose weight? What do I need to eat to get big? What do I need to eat to get a harder dick? What do I need to eat to get more energy?"
Your body is about more than fad diets.

Yes, carbs can include fruits. In the grand scheme of things there's hardly any difference between eating a pound of bananas and a pound of potatoes
