Posted Friday night about texting chick from work to ask her out. She never responded and just found out today she's quitting. Is it over bros?

What you mean? Chocolate milk is good protein every day.

Great time to shout her. Say something like Hey, it was fun working together. Gonna miss seeing you around. I'm going to X on Yday, do you wanna come with? Let's hang out

        nothing to lose i guess

Well I already asked her out via text and she never responded. She told a few coworkers about how it made her uncomfortable and she just wished I asked in person. Wouldn't see her again until Thursday.

What did you say to her exactly? Yeah it's the ballsiest to ask a girl out in person. And you get an instant response instead of girls playing games. And you can charm her better than over text. Texts are soulless. Leave voice notes if possible, so she can also hear your voice and build a stronger connection to you if anything. I don't like phone calls but those are good if played right.

I'd say just let it be, wait til Thursday and then speak to her. Just be funny and upbeat, act like her lack of reply didn't bother you. Women change everyday. Like Mother Nature. One day it's gonna be sunny, next day it's pouring cats and dogs.
Also women need more time to evaluate their feelings as they have to speak to other women about you and what you did and the general consensus of her friend group can affect how she deals with you. Less is more with women. Message them as rarely as possible really and focus on lifting and your hobbies. She'll come to you when ready, dipping foot in the water to see what she can get away with but don't give her any control over the situation. Act indifferent. One foot in one foot out. You're the prize, not her. Keep it cool anon

Cool yeah appreciate it. I was chill about it til I found out she was quitting. Worked together for over a year. We worked together Fridays so I asked if she'd want to grab a meal together after work. Didn't think it was a big deal.

Yeah I was the guy telling you to text her. Sorry it turned out that way. Social norms are super arbitrary and are up to girls nowadays. We have tinder and shit which is all done via text, so why isn't that appropriate? It's fricking moronic. Anyway don't beat yourself up, do what the other poster said and appear like it doesn't bother you. She's playing games anyway so probably not worth asking her again.

Yeah its all good. I don't regret it. Should have just been patient. She's been a special snowflake in the past making a big deal out of nothing so it's not really surprising. Not beating myself up over it just kinda shook she's quitting.

Ah well what a silly girl. Don't worry about it mate, they're crazy and a lot of them are insane. Chin up and laugh that she's LEAVING over a text message, but I get why it hurts. It'd hurt me a bit too.

Another day with no real responses
A super nice nerdy girl is into me and I'm taking shots in the dark instead of going with her
It's for the best though, we have values that don't match
Nothing to do but keep trying to find a match

How is it possible to have these threads multiple times a week with the same whining every fricking time. 95% of the threads all are just the same crying about girls and like 75% of these comments are all the same and are all answered by the same advice. What the hell is this shit.

I've been working through some repressed rage and today I became intensely sad and felt crushingly alone.
I've been working through the rage with exercises that I can do in private, I absolutely have not been noticeably more or less angry with people I interact with (read: I haven't alienated anyone by being angry at them)
Is this normal? Does it go away after a while?

Still jobless and living with my parents, going to be the 6th month of the former and 4th of the latter. I'm having the time of my life doing things I actually enjoy.
Gonna paint until gym time. Need to figure out if I have everything to make rhubarb wine. I don't want to work at some garbage software dev company again, but I guess I'm stuck for now.

Has anyone present ever made career changes out of sofware dev?

I took some international friends roller skating today. Was pretty fun. Invited another friend, he didn't come but funny enough a girl he hangs out with but claims he isn't into as anything more than friends (he literally turned us down for a day trip because he was doing yardwork for her parents wtf) was there. I had met her briefly a couple of weeks ago when they were playing pool together. Anyway she's super hot, a literal titty monster, and clearly had guys simping for her at the skating rink.

I chatted with her some and I thought it went well, no spaghetti spilled, and I impressed her with some of my mediocre skating moves. Her nipples may or may have not gotten erect while talking to me. But I didn't want to make a move on her because I wouldn't wanna do that to my friend, even if he said he just sees her as a friend, idk how much of that is cope, I still respect him. So I didn't go for her social media or number. I'll more than likely see her again, so I'm not really that concerned.

Reminds me of this one time in high school I was talking to this girl and she wanted me to dance with her in formal. Thing is was that my friend was super into her, so I didn’t do it. I think she has me blocked on Twitter or some shit now

    >be me
    >part-time project writer and student of EEE
    >qt grill project partner, sister of co-founder
    >impress her with fake maturity (unintentionally)
    >boss offers a project,, get her involved too as a co-founder
    >she visits my city for a start-up fair
    >dayoutwithher.exe
    >Take her on a trip to some island, overcome my fears and nerdish mentality and be flirtatious
    >kiss on cheek achieved and I try a romantic relationship with her
    >she agrees to try something
    >next day, boss' wife asks about day with grill
    >wut.jpg
    >boss' wife shares stories about her old years etc., warns me about a relationship in work, says don't tell grill
    >confusedandfeelingmoronic.jpg
    >tell grill anyway
    >she's furious, feels spied on
    >Turns out she told her sister that she was meeitng with me. Then her sister told his boyfriend who is also a co-founder and the nephew of the main boss' wife. These three were (for some fricking reason) very interested in this "relationship".
    >She is very sad and angry, about all this. Blames her sister and cries each time a person learns about this.
    >I can't even hold her hand anymore since she isn't interested about the romantic aspects anymore.
    >Eventually meet with the main boss who is a swell guy, looks after me and teaches me a lot.
    >Says that he is very angry about her wife's involvement. But workplace gossip will remain no matter what and he can't do anything about it.
    >My main plan was to ignore it too, so nothing changed.
    >Qt grill doesn't want to play the ball anymore, tells me to finish this thing once and for all and to focus on the existing work
    >I accept, honestly she and I are from VERY different backgrounds and ethics so I knew the relationship wouldn't last if one of us didn't comprimise and submitted to the others lifestyle. But I wanted to get more experience and at least kiss her.
