Damn I read through that entire article pretty throughly and the results are surprising, the ending conclusion makes sense though as there simply is no naturally occurring high carb high fat food aside from milk. Thanks for the post amigo I've been having butter with potatoes for frickin ages and the last thing I want is insulin resistance despite being shredded

I fricking know right? I'm assuming this also extends to sat fats from non butter sources too so shepherds pie Is probably out too, I'm just going to use olive oil for potatoes from now on

I had a brief look over it earlier when the article mentioned it but the studies prior didnt support that evidence to the same degree, hyperinsulinemia seems to be a common factor for all fats but sat fats really take the brunt of it no? (Please say yes you've taken my butter dont take my EVOO)

Lol, I dunno tbh. I don't take it too seriously, I put some butter on my potatoes (not as much as I'd like) and limit my fat intake to ~20% of total calories and hope that offsets the issues

                Anonymous

                >limit my fat intake to ~20% of total calories
This is the smartest thing to do imo, just makes sense from a fit perspective to have high carbs for glycogen stores and high protein for muscle building. Gl to you senpai

Also, olive oil on potatoes is kinda gross

    Easiest jacket potato recipe ever

Take a potato and wash it. Poke holes in it with a fork. Keep the skin on and put in microwave for 4-5 minutes depending on size then turn the potato over and nuke it again for 4-5 minutes.
Cut in half and put salt and butter on it.
