No it doesnt magically turn into fat that makes no sense

            Anonymous

Well that's literally just the biochemistry of the way that the liver metabolises fructose. It turns it into liver fat until it can be mobilised out and stored in the adipose but if you keep eating the sugar or alcohol more liver fat gets made.

            Anonymous

Yes it does. The liver is the only organ that can metabolize Fructose. This is how people end up NAFLD and fatty/cirrhotic liver despite never drinking alcohol.

Fructose in small doses isn't a problem, like alcohol, but long term abuse (overconsumption) leads to health problems.

the small intestine can metabolize a bit of fructose as well but its mainly the livers job

You are ignorant of fructose metabolism. Stop spouting dogma and actually learn some basic biology.

      Anonymous

Most people are not metabolically healthy and when they eat sugar they will not be able to metabolize it properly and might end up getting a bit fat. That's okay though because we make saturated fat which is protective and it also skews are bodyfat to a more favorable SFA:PUFA ratio, thus making us more metabolically healthy and as time passes we become better at metabolising sugar and that's when the fat melts off (assuming you are on a low PUFA, low fat diet)

Blood cells are pretty important innit

        Anonymous

Yes but they need an incredibly small amount of glucose to function.
Some cancer treatments involve using ketogenesis, certain drugs, and stress relaxation techniques to reduce blood sugar that will starve cancer cells of the glycolysis they need to survive, combined with restriction of I think it was the amino acid glutamine which cancer cells can also use to ferment for energy. this has been found to either drastically reduce the cancer or even kill it.
Look up the work of Dr Thomas Seyfried for more on the topic.

I've noticed that there's a strong trend among those who swear by sugar. This trend is an increase in bedwetting as they indulge in more sugar.
One such example is famous plant-based advocate Durian Rider, who explained that he needs to keep a bottle by his bedside to pee every few hours during the night.
Must do a number on insulin and other hormones if it causes you to piss the bed like a little kid. I've attached a compilation that includes the amounts of sugar some people (and Durian rider) enjoy regularly. Take their appearance into account.

      Anonymous

but if sugar makes you fat why they not fat?

        Anonymous

It's a bit complicated to explain here for someone who isn't even reading my posts, however, consuming sugar is entirely optional and not necessary for living as a human since we have a process called gluconeogenesis that creates our own blood glucose endogenously. Consuming healthy saturated animal fats and
animal proteins will give you the nutrients the body needs without the hormonal stressors that a high carbohydrate (sugars) diet inherently requires. Not to mention hormonal health requires the consumption of fat.
The perception of all food as belonging to a group for "cutting" or "bulking" is part of the calorie balance belief system. Not all food will give your body what it needs to repair, let alone fuel itself. Micronutrient profiles, antinutrients, and macro composition are all important to understand in every ingredient you consume if you want to be healthy. If you don't want to be healthy and just want to dirty bulk or dirty cut, please feel free to utilize sugar. It will damage your organs greatly, but that is your decision as an informed adult.
