However very active people sweat a lot, they also drink a lot of water. Like 4 litres a day. You can loose 2gs of salt in a single litre of sweat.

Salt is a complete non-issue as long as you drink enough water. Sugar is the bigger issue but that also becomes a non-issue if you do cardio/lots of endurance work

Out on military exercises in the heat soldiers tend to drink too much water and pee out all their salt. so they get dehydration symptoms while still drinking lots of water.
When I was in the army, I’d come off exercise with all my kit caked in salt crystals from my sweat. I’d rub my finger along the encrusted salt veins and lick the salt off.
